Nice long reverb, but that's it- however that's not enough for vintage sound..or maybe I am too strict-Vintage surf fan...

@bitchboysi I don't think you could do much better than this for a reverb pedal though. I too am a reverb nut and generally will always vouch for Fenders onboard/outboard reverb units. The only pedals I've used that managed to get somewhat close to a close to an authentic springy reverb are The Spring King & Vanamps reverb series. This unit sounds like a good step in the right direction.

Anyone wanna share their opinion about buying the Malekko Chicklet versus the SolidGoldFX Surf Rider? I was thinking of going with the Surf Rider, I really love how dynamic it is. However the Malekko Chicklet is at least $100 less, and since I'm primarily looking for a gigging substitute for the spring reverb on my amps, perhaps I don't need something as dynamic as the Surf Rider. Also the Chicklet takes up much less space on a pedal board.

Anyway, your thoughts would be much appreciated!!

@spawnofwheezedog Yeah, and it has no splash either. There is no substitute for a real Fender tube reverb unit. But this is a far cheaper solution for those who just want to add a little reverb.

@theactor19 All reverb stompboxes are going to be digital. The only way to have "Analog" reverb is a true spring reverb tank or just the natural reverb of sound bouncing off walls.

Actually, there were some BBD chips that produced a passable reverb sound. Check out the "Morley Rock'n'Verb" video here on the 'tube. The MN3011 chips can still be found for DIY projects etc
