Just to clarify my last post...the problem I have with those verses is with my PICKING hand. The fretting hand is no problem...it's just constantly picking between those strings...it ends up sounding really sloppy for me and I'm not sure how to improve...been practicing it for quite some time.

How do you play those verses so flawlessly? That's what I have the most trouble with in basically any metal song...starting at 1:18 or so. I can do the open string ones, but when it goes to holding the 8th fret B string and then 4th fret F# string...it's too much. I don't get it. I figure if I can get that down, the sweeps won't be much of a problem (Yeah, I struggle with THIS more than sweeping)...any tips? :)

dont get a roland cube 60 mate! there a crappy little amp for kids aged 5 - 7!!

get something like randall, mesa boogie, marshall, line 6 if you have too or a nice peavey valve amp! much much better!!

Randalls suck and mesa's aren't much better ... i suggest a line-6, Enel, Madison, or a 5150. I'd also recommend an Ibanez Xiphos ... Play so smoothly and they come with Amazing Dimarzio pick-ups ... sound bad ass!

im sorry you obviously havent played through many guitar amps... mesa's are amazing! 5150 cant get any more new equivalant 6505 or the 6505+ still amazing amps! ibanez are cool guitars but there is better... prs are the sex! i work in a guitar shop i get to play everything and anything...

prs are overrated. Chris Storey uses an Ibanez Prestige seven string. It just depends on the equipment. I can agree with you on the mesa's though. Good shit.

thats a wise choise! i have one... cant use big amp all time.... they brought out some great add on packs for the guitar port! gold edition and silver edition bundle packs! tones more sounds and effects! but yeah! its not worth getting roland amps... line6 or randall are cheap but bang on the money! or just save for something rocking!

yeah there worth getting! im not sure on price as im in UK sorry man... ummm the tone i use is solo 100 or the Treadplate dual!! both of them use the classic V30 (i might have the names wrong....) but any way best sounding ones!!!
