i dont know if this helps but for w7 users you should do those all minecraft.jar

and resourse bin and everything by %appdata% and xp users application data.

that worked for me.

I bet I am being a huge nuisance. But, whenever I try to edit the Minecraft.jar folder it won't let me saying stuff like the file is being used by another process and can't rename stuff (for whatever reason it thinks I'm trying to rename something... and it thinks its opened)

TO EVERYONE GETTING BLACKSCREENS. You are doing it wrong. It's not my fault nor I can help you. Check in the forums and READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. 99% of the time it's the user's fault, and the other 1% of the time is because they missed something that was actually kind of obscure, but still resolved already in the thread. I didn't make the mod. I CAN'T help you. Sorry

@Hozzckharr You are right, you get a blackscreen if you didnt delete the folder meta.inf which is in the minecraft.jar folder! try it it might work!

i dont use the ingame invedit and I dont know how it works so I can't help you with that part... as far as the grappling hook, you're just not using it right. try to read the instructions in the thread more carefully. and no, no one is plotting against your minecraft copy to not let you use the mods.
