  • i just chuck the food in...

  • @ipaqmaster I agree, makes great for kids who come over too. This was just a college project though, and a few people asked to see how it turned out.

  • tutorial?

  • This would be amazingly usefull if it would only step 1 space a day. You could go away for 8 days and not be worried about your prized fishies going hungry. I have 2 fish tanks side by side (See my vid) 1 with a fighter and the other with multipul fish. The spacers look big enough for a algae wafer and a pinch of flakes.

  • @175myles yea, this was the idea of the project. The circuits are tuned in this video for testing purposes just to see if it would get through an entire day without any hiccups in the space of a minute, but they can be modified for 1 a day :)

  • @jamiemate, Also you could have tabs on them (see combination lock design) to click over to the other wheel of food for a total of like 21 days away. For tanks lighting would be a slight problem. But you are the genious, you could make a lot of money off this.

  • @175myles Yea, there's a master circuit which controls the 3 sub-circuits which control the motors to turn the containers. So once one cycle (7 sections) have finished, the second one will start, then the third. Thus giving 21 days! Wouldn't say I'm a genius, but if people would buy it, I might well put some thought into it! :)

  • @jamiemate, You could make a light switch into this design, running on a second curcuit to turn on an aquarium light at 6am and turn on every 2 hours and off for 30 minutes during the day untill 8pm when it shuts off competely till next morning.

  • I'm assuming by the way you built it with 1/8 slots that you are using a steper motors?

  • @TheFutureLooksGrimm Ooops I posted this comment before watching the end where you mention you use stepper moters :)

  • Get on Dragons Den !
