  • Heard This On Alex Jones Show

  • is that George and Ringo i see?

  • we've identified Mike's Gretsch and apparently Harrison's Strat, but there's also a brief shot of another vintage-looking guitar around 2:08. The body looks kinda like a Tele, but the headstock isn't right. anyone know what it is?

  • Arrrgh sooo good! Can't wait for the Heartbreakers to grace London in June!

Until then I'll have to make do with Casper & The Howling - check them out if you haven't!!

  • great classic!!

  • Ron Paul's theme song

  • This video has 3 "Traveling Willburys", 2 "Heartbreakers", 2 ex-"Beatles", and 1 ex-"ELO". Can you get much better than that???

  • @2e26pst

    Nope :-)

  • Awesome!

  • Rocky!!!!!!!

Awesome piece of history on this video...well, along its owner, George and Ringo themselves!

  • Lady,lady I try listen to this song.......Best players, I tell ya ,bye.:o)

  • I'm 23 and a female and I usually listen to BSB and pop but I love this song. I love the 70's, 80's- now. I stand my ground and I won't back down.

  • @justinikkifeb14

i always find it funny when girls introduce themselves as being "females" even thought it's true it sounds like you are either spock or a member of a different species xD

  • I have some respect for Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, for their music is fairly decent. My only problem is this: Where is their female equivalent? That's why The Music Industry sucks right now. Oh well, at least we have stuff like this.

  • @kja427 WOW. Really? Tom Petty is one of the ALL-TIME GREATS! If you have any real taste in music, you'd have a lot more than just a little respect.

  • @fohawk871 You misheard me. I like Tom Petty's music. It's better than the stuff we have today. One question i have is this: Where is the female equivalent to Tom Petty and The Haertbreakers?

  • @kja427 But even the excrement of a dying horse is better than today's music. So it seems like you're saying that Tom Petty just sucks less than 'modern mainstream music'.

  • @kja427 female equivalent? Pay your attention to Belinda Carlisle.

  • Thanks for posting but technically this is not "Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers" - it's from Tom Petty's solo "Full Moon Fever" album. The only Heartbreaker here is Mike Campbell. The background vocals are George Harrison and Jeff Lynne. Ringo was brought in for the video.

  • Ringo Creeping in other peoples music videos :3

  • yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • Is he Brian May (from Queen) at 1:55?

  • @radafuk82

No, it's Mike Campell from the Heartbreakers.

  • Carlsberg don't provide session musicians...

  • This is a great example of Talent over Ego.

  • he's perfect!

  • i just want three minutes to talk to tom.probly wud change my life

  • forgot ringo was in the willberries! knew i shudda put my c.v in!! worst drummer in history???

  • @75cammo I dont fully understand your comment, but If you're trying to say Ringo was a bad drummer, you're an idiot. If that's not what you're saying. I appologise.

  • @75cammo

Ringo was never in the Wilburys.

  • Is it me or do Tom petty songs always have these particular moments in which Tom sings the lyrics in such a way that they make the song from great to stunning? For example 1:18

  • This is such a cool video with the Traveling wilberries

  • RIP George, we all miss you!

  • this is true talented music, not like the computer songs these days,

  • Tom was so lucky he had half the Beatles watching his back :) Thumbs up for both of them!!!

  • @Chandler21Beatles

And Jeff Lynne, let's not forget about him :-)

  • @16wani True! Jeff Lynne is important here: he is on bass guitar and backing vocals. He co-wrote and co-produced the song.

Aside. The wierd part of the video is that Ringo Starr NEVER drummed in the recording! He was probably in for the ride because George Harrison was there!

  • @WineSippingCowboy

He sure did, and he was also very much involved in the making of Full Moon Fever. As for Ringos appearance in the video, I'm guessing the peculiar humor these guys had amongst them has something to do with it as well :)

  • Thumbs up if you came here from listening this song in The Barnyard (i was like WTF? TOM PETTY!)

  • @elmetalero3000 I think that was initially the johnny cash version, due to the primarily acoustic sound.

  • This is one of the greatest bands that ever came to be. Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers are too legit to ever quit!

  • 38people backed down

  • One of the most awesome bands of all time!!

  • i am addicted to this video. i love richard starke. even when he did sesame street i watched a kid show. even better than drumming for beatles. and the florida boy has a very distinct voice. thanks for keeping this alive for when i need good music to cheer me up.

  • 37 people like the smell of their own shit!

  • I love how half of the Beatles are there :D

  • @capri325 arguably the best half.

  • Awesome

  • good pop: paramore michael jackson good rock: tom petty acdc rise against europe survivor journey bon jovi etc...

  • You can stand me up at the gates of Hell but I won't back down.

  • Even if the ultra-liberals fucked up and destroyed many banks and the financial minstery of entire countries -trail and jail them!- , watch out: all the green partys in the world hous the "old communists" since-except where a killerdictator rules , broke down on the whole planet,

they and their lost and pervert man-anhilating idiot dreams...and they are not DEAD. Only sleeping.

  • I started listening to Tom Petty when I was 8 I'm now 13. Good old music pop sucks go rock.

  • @foggersband Young 'n YOU got taste. Good for you, there is lots of GOOD music out there and lots of GOOD options to that which appears popular. Ever heard of COLD CHISEL or JIMMY BARNES? Check 'em out if you have a chance. Keep well & safe.

  • @357HFC ya I hate pop what they play now a days with all the special effects i don't like it it's like all you need to do is come up with three words and you have a hit good voice or bad they just use auto tune to fix it auto tune. Guitars, bases and drums are something you can learn to play and they have amazing sounds. Rock forever.

  • Great debate tonight Dr. Paul! Stand your ground. Fantastic job. Ron Paul R[̲̅ə̲̅٨̲̅٥̲̅٦̲̅]ution 2012!!

  • Jeff Lynne is incredibly underrated. Real musical genius and producer. As well as Tom Petty going above and beyond to kick ass.

  • why is there talentless rap commercials before every tom petty song i click on? if i wanted to hear that garbage i wouldve typed it in. i want to listen to actual music, stupid vevo

  • Why are their political posts? ridiculous much?

  • A great song about exercising your personal liberty. RON PAUL 2012!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @alanlafranchi He wants to unseparate church and state. Fuck him.

  • @therunningtap FALSE. This is what I say to anyone who thinks this: The Bible tells him how to live his own life, and The Constitution tells him how to govern others' lives. The Constitution certainly includes a separation of Church and State, as well as Freedom of Religion. Ron Paul has never voted against The Constitution, even when his faith was at odds.

  • I like cash's better but I still like tom

  • I give this video 1 view all days

  • Isn't the song on Barnyard movie?

  • @Knight9Rider Lol yeah.

  • go look it up on wikiepedia and you will all see that you are all wrong ringo might look like he is playing the drums but it was just for the video and as far as goerge and jeff they are just back up singers on the song

  • Everyone thinks it is Brian May in this video. Granted, it does look like him

  • @TheArsebiscuits

i don't think Mike Campell look like Brian May, apart from the hairstyle...

  • George Harrison is lo lovely in this video, i miss him so much

  • That would be Jeff Lynne.

  • George and Ringo and the dude from ELO are Heartbreakers? Uhhhh...no

  • Is that Ringo?

  • one of his best...so many great songs... he is the 5th Beatle.

  • 37 people backed down

  • @jakes85 rofl 37 likes on ur comment

  • @jakes85 38 :(

  • Hi everyone. This is a great song, but I have to state the obvious for those that might not know it. This video is of the Travelling Wilburys, of which Tom was a member. VEVO should correct their labeling error. :)

  • @kevins1963 No it isn't you dolt. Ringo Starr wasn't in the travelling wilburys. DUUUUUURRRRRRR

  • @TheArsebiscuits Ringo is playing drums silly

  • @TheArsebiscuits Yeah, you must be right, because it would be unheard of for an artist to sit in on a music video with a bunch of his buddies that happen to be in a group together. You are apparently spewing some of your namesakes. :)

  • @kevins1963 incorrect. it's a tom & the heartbreakers song. apart from bob, it does star them all in one form or another helping on the album, though.

  • @tmofee Hi tmofee, You seem to be under the impression that I said it is a Wilburys song. Incorrect. I was commenting on the Video. It of course is a Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers song, but Vevo gives improper attribution to the video. More correctly it should be labeled The Travelling Willbury's with Ringo Starr doing a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers song. LOL I guess that would be much more credit then they want to give. :)

  • @tmofee You are absolutely correct though, Bob Dylan was AWOL. But really the big picture to me is that they were seeming to have fun and it is a great song!!! :)

  • @kevins1963 Still not quite right. It was a Tom Petty song. Solo, with help from Jeff Lynne and George Harrison. Ringo didn't actually appear on the album. He was just there for the video...which I always thought was quite odd.

  • Hell no!!!

  • Ron Paul brought me here ! :D wooooooh !

he uses this song when he walks on stage

  • @Communist2012

Your name says communist and a libertarian brought you here??? You realize Objectivism is antithetical to most communist thought right?

  • @SomniumCorvus i'm not communist, i warn people about the dangers of communism

  • boooo Ron Paul

  • @morsolodiazs booooo You.

  • @Communist2012 And I'll bet he doesn't pay required royalties; after all, in his anti-Americcan view, govv't shouldn't exist, and all criimes should be legal, beginning with stelaing.

I've nebver seen a Republifcan ask permission to use a rocker's song -- and never seen them not forced to stop using by non-Republicans.

  • Give the fucking credit to the Wilbury's and Ringo! I love Harrison so much

  • ted bundy is my role model... hes the best thing

  • look im only 12 but i love the oldies and ill tell u guys a story it was the finels of my wrestling tournement they always play music for the adiuonce this song played and i broke out wit courage iwas on my stomache in a half nelson and this song encoureged me its like it gave me strength i reversed the kid on top of me i put him in a full nelson and i took 1st place in the finals

  • Someone else guilty of only paying attention to Ringo? :P

  • did ringo play on the recording?

  • @ChiroQuacker No not on the recording but George did play acoustic for the recording.

  • Hey sweet! That's George and Ringo

  • @fooshin and there's Jeff lynne, not only them

  • No offense. But i hate this guys voice. When he sings the part "Stand my ground, and wont back down." His voice is like weird sounding.

  • απιστευτο...............ειχα να το ακουσει χροοοοονια...το ειχα ξεχασει κιολας κ το βρηκα τωρα καταλαθος...τελειο τραγουδι!

  • thank you shaytards xD

  • The Beatles started off doing pretty basic blues-rooted stuff that had been done before, but once 1966 arrived they reached a whole new level. If you can let us all know which bands at the time were doing music as creative as what you hear on Revolver or the White Album please do, as I'll be keen to listen to them!

  • @version815 there were and are better bands out that don't get the ass kissing the Beatles do.

  • @version815

"Better bands?" By who's definition? You have the right to enjoy whichever band you like, but it is grossly primitive of you to refer to the comments for the Beatles as "ass kissing".

Where were YOU when the Beatles were selling tens of millions of records? Name just ONE band who had their songs redone as often, and by as many different artists as they have.

Your comment is like a carelessly thrown stone.

  • @Version815 they were amazing at making and singing great music there music was not generic

  • @jamesmith475 amazing at what? Making generic music?

  • @version815 Are you retarded??

  • Version815 ur stupid the beatles were amazing

  • The Beatles were average musicians at best

  • @version815 Say whaaaaaaaat.

  • @version815 i agree completely, they were good but no better then any other music to date

  • @version815 Madness. I've been a musician for ten years and can tell you they were outstanding musicians, obviously.

  • @version815 The "average" musician doesn't make an indelible mark in music history.

  • @version815 You are apparently an idiot, if you really think the Beatles were "average at best". They are the highest selling band of all time, the most widely praised band of all time, the most covered band of all time, the most widely influential band of all time. I don't think "average" musicians get that kind of acclaim.

  • lol at George's little dance at 0:16

  • ok

  • fuck the beatles

  • @version815 you lookin 4 a fight soft lad.... ya found 1 shut up b4 i spank your bare bottom blue

  • @version815 lol Dude if you're going to troll at least put some effort into it...that's just sad.

  • @version815 I would if only one would just happen to knock at my door. Oh what a Chrissy pressie that would be.

  • DOPE as MUSIK

  • back down from what? This guy never did squat. He would back down in a heartbeat

  • @ajweberman tom? hes one of the best song writers ever ... in fact every person in this video is one of the greatest songwriters ever each in their own respect and seperate careers

  • 27 people want the easy way out.

  • This is not Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Wont Back Down was a Tom Petty solo song that he recorded with some of the Traveling Wilburies and some of the Heartbreakers.

  • Yall suck the life out every thing,,get fucking life,,,I lived that time,,,fuck u
