  • I want this video on my Fisio 610 unit.

  • OMG! Its Pitbull's Dopelganger!

  • Strange comments with this video again.

  • Let's dumb it down a bit.

If you want years and years of abuse, go with Steel or an Alloy frame.

If you want lightweight and performance, go with Carbon.

If you want the best of both worlds, go Titanium. xD

  • @dahgutone you are right, going away of all that materials respect to composites there is the carbon/ twaron (kevlar) fabrics, who gives more resistance to impact over the stiffness of single carbon frames. In metal of course titanium and for moneyed there are other exotic metals that even are expensive for NASA, only used in little parts of spaceships, satellites and some diaphragms of high-end danish speakers like special alloys of Berilium-Scandium, Lithium-Aluminium or Titanium-Vanadium.

  • Jesus C you are a funny dude. I don't speak German but the Abba playing in the background and you doing whatever you are doing to those poor frames, made by many hours of skilled humans, is just pure waste. Your "tests" have nothing to do with anything other than comedy, Go listen to the Scorpions will you? The lead singer has the same hair cut as you.

  • wow actually a good vid.carbon is for gays anyway

  • Funny how a little thing like comparing materials strength sounds menacing when it's in German.

  • Ich denke mal es ist als witzig gedacht und soll für den ein oder anderen abo klicker sein nunja... bevor ich anfange hier zu beleidigen und deinen mangel an fachwissen in frage stelle Lach ich mal ne runde ABBA RULS

  • geil !

  • You look like pitbull xD

  • Comment removed

  • Oh God, not ABBA!

Still, it's better than most of the music put on Youtube soundtracks..LOL

  • NOW ISS DE TIME UNT SCHPROCKETS VEN VE DANZ!!

  • This test is bunk but carbon frames tend to not survive most crashes during a race either. That's it's weakness: low impact tolerance. Anyone who will argue this is a fool. It's not an opinion but a fact. Even bike companies admit to this.

  • Was I the only one hoping he'd cut the power cable to the grinder?

  • ควย ใครบอกใคตรสอนให้มึงทดสอบแบบนี้สาสสสส

  • Mambo Kurt hat die guten TITAN Rahmen erst garnicht getestet;(

  • This is what I do daily to make sure my frame is strong and safe to ride, I attack it with an angle grinder, I then chuck heavy things on it, then jump on it, once this test is complete I ride......

  • do u have any frame for me for free?

  • steel and aluminum is still the best~ ^___^

  • @timtam006 +1 93 people reliased they bought a carbon frame...

  • @rosickyize hahaha! you're really funny! And 93 people regret having a light weight frame with really heavy rims, fork, and other bike parts that makes their bikes weight more.

    Carbon = kaputt

    hahahahaha!

  • @timtam006 ... I have two carbon bikes and even I agree with you. Outside of racing, carbon is redundant. It's not even the same carbon used in aircraft like many claim. It's strong enough for a rider and that's it. It pisses me off to no end that for such a "strong" frame material, companies don't recommend even towing a kid trailer unless you want to void your warranty. So I'm stuck with either one of my two aluminum bikes or my steel one to tow my kid's Burley D'Lite trailer.

  • @terbennett Carbon is not redundant outside of racing.... I use a carbon mountain bike frame that is very strong and ride at all UK trail centres... "On One Carbon 456"

  • @terbennett...

Wow! you have a lot of bikes! ^^

I only have two MTB~ one steel and one aluminum.

My friends has high end carbon frames... really expensive~ but the weight difference is just 50-100grams over my aluminum MTB~ haha!

but i must admit, the ride is different... carbon frames seems to flex a little so i guess it serves as kind of suspension?

Wow! you have Burley D'Lite Trailer! awesome! ^^

Do you compete Sir coz you have two carbon bikes~ ^^

  • is it me or did he say steel-ramen carbon-ramen aluminum-ramen?? LOL =))

  • This is the shitiest test ever...

  • stahl is rehl

  • totaler müll

  • Terry Tibbs? TALK TO ME!

  • Everyone thinks carbon is strong, it is but not like stand on it strong. It's very stiff and in bikes it is strong enough to hold the rider but it is very brittle and as it showed the carbon broke... its still the best for a racing road bike

  • noch nie so unqualifizierte Testversuche gesehen...

  • sure bad quality of carbon frame, carbon is at good quality the best frame material...

  • i bet he dildos his ass with the bike frame remnants

  • Zu viel Geld?

  • LOLOLOLOL

  • WHY THE F**K WOULD U PUT ENGLISH TITLE ON A GERMAN VIDEO ?!?! im sorry but this sort of s**t really makes me mad , ok , u made a video in yer shi**y ass random language, but why do u put an english title!?!?! :OO ive come across so many videos like that , especially german ones.. take that stupid ass ugly german language whit that stupid ass tastless music and shove it up your stupid tasteless psycho german ass !

(btw your tests are so senseless its sad what a stupid piece of f**k you are)

  • What a useless test

  • Comment removed

  • the fuck is this shit.

  • What song is this? XD

  • Yeah this might be fun to watch but it is totally useless for comparing the different materials

  • lol what are you doing with a grinder on a 4 foot stick?? thumbs up if you agree.

  • Very interesting video. Carbon failed in every test

  • You have many frames!!! And you brain stop...

Do the test in you head end put the video hear.

  • Interesting tests. But when I'm riding I don't take a saw and go at the frame with it. Should I be thinking about changing my riding technique?

  • @earthstick

Yes, You should consider something. Maybe to change Your thinking? All carbon-hypnotized guys don't consider how easy it is to break/ cut carbon. If your imagination stops at this point check this out:

    youtu[.]be/7y2TGNbLDMg (0:17-0:21)

Nobody leaves the carbon bike alone? Do You grab your carbon bike everywhere You go? And You don't fall on Your carbon bike through the whole life? And do You sleep with carbon bike? Than it's not a bike. It's Your carbon "wife". Take it easy.

  • Well, it's your money i guess.

  • completely the wrong way to test bike frames

  • Today, it still bike to serve 15-20 years is a steel, aluminum is several times less in the endurance test and the carbon fiber may crash after normal tipping over or falling into the Pitt.

Aluminum bikes are for fun, once used to use, rarely.

Carbon fiber only for the time trial, did not abolish the urban venom week because the number of hours of work that must endure this will destroy the city bike frame. Additionally, you can not resist a bike for anything because I wipe the pipe.

  • i can understand weight drop test and air gun test cause that could happen when you fall off as every rider should cause if you dont your not pushing yourslef enough, but the grinder and standing one pointles who wants to cut their bike anyway??

  • Everyone should already know that Aluminum is better than Carbon and that Steel is better than Aluminum. Carbon is quirky! It can endure hard bumps and high jumps, but if your kickstand gives way and your bike falls, you can render the carbon bike useless.

  • Carrrrbon:

    - 1,15 kg weight of the frame itself (very light indeed)

    - "kaputt gegan" during horizontal chain stays fatigue test (very fragile)

    - 1 sec, 70 mm during "grinder test" (very fragile)

    - "loch" 20x40mm during 10 kg drop test (very fragile)

    - "nichts" when shooting with pneumatic gun (at least strong at this point)

But we can still keep dreaming that carrrrbon is "so strong material"! Yeah! Let's wake up!

  • how often are you gonna run into a power saw while riding ure bike lol

  • You are very smart??? All the tests done are made sideways, the bikes are not under stress from the direction you did your stupid so called tests! If there is to be friction on the frame, is not going to be on a 2mm width, is going to be more than that so the frame is less likely to get cut like your flexsaw stupid test. Being hit, yes, fair enough. When you do a test, do it under riding stresses, not out of stupid ideas testing. Germans should know better, i guess there are plenty of braindead

  • retard dumb fuck !

  • this really helps lol thanks man...i have carbon fiber mountain bike handlebars...now i think i will switch to metals now lol

  • What kind of a shit video is this.. And whats up with the disk tied to a wooden stick, afraid to get hurt? LMFAO!

  • I threw out an older, badly scratched carbon fork last week. Before putting it in the bag I jumped on it, but could not break it.

  • kaputt ga gan

  • echt Sinnvoll ;)

  • I saw many carbon frames and components cracked... I have never seen any aluminum or steel frames cracked or damaged the same way as carbon can be damaged...at least not yet :) The guy shows how weak and fragile carbon components CAN BE... Good point Hans ;-)

  • most carbon frame made by chinese, lol, poor naziiii, lol peace

  • Para hacerle esto a los cuadros me los entregas a mi !!!!

  • why would anyone do that to perfectly good bicycle frames?? this video almost made me cry... the pure brutality....

  • NAZI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol, ill take the carbon any day over that other shit

  • what a horses arse

  • LMAO its Terry Tibs in his younger days before he got into the motor industry

Thumbs up if you can see it aswell

  • I usually ride near running circular saws so this test is legit

  • FRPPPPPP

  • Hahhahahah YMCA!!!! go to Brazil and enjoy last day of carnival man. (man? who cares!) BTW formal tests does not ( and will never) cover all aspects of real life. Even if you come up with sofisticated FAE will never reach real life tests, "just" predict outcome.

  • I didn't need to see a test to see that carbon fiber breaks easier than aluminum and certainly easier than steel. Carbon is great for its purpose of light and strong, but at this point, it still isn't stronger than aluminum or steel unless there are so many layers of carbon that it becomes the same weight or more. And carbon is far less flexible and once it goes beyond its range its done. Carbon is fragile compared, end of story. This wasn't made to make carbon look fragile, it just is!!

  • Comment removed

  • That wasn't carbon, that was papier mache.

  • lol fake test by gay

  • Did anyone else want to see that weight land on his foot?

  • you didn't test those bikes, you simply broke them.

  • How is this not common stresses? For a commuter rider, let's see:

    1. Drop weight - dropping a d-lock onto a frame as you're taking it out of your bag.

    2. Lateral seat stay pressure - transporting a frame w/ detached front wheel. Most people don't use a thingie to hold the axle separate.

    3. The angle grinder - Ok, bit extreme, let's just say that you would lock your bike to many poles, each of which would put side pressure or ding your bike. will thatding cause a hole or just a scratch?

  • @lisitsamic This is not a valid test at all for a normal rider, drop weight, yes people drop locks on the frame, but one or two kg from a very small height. Not 15kg or something from 1.5m. Also point 2, i dont know many people at all who do this, and the angle grinder is pointless as a test... They should have tested fatigue, damage from a crash or something, the most valid thing they did was weight...

  • your gay

  • THIS IS A JOKE!!!

Tumbs up so everyone can see!

  • German wanker

  • hahahah LOL

  • I love the comments.

People are assuming that because the guy's German that the video is serious.

  • of course carbon goes kaput. it's brittle compared to steel/aluminium

  • this test are so fucking dumb and waste time and money....

OF COURSE THAT ANY MUDA FUCKING STEEL FRAME IS THE STRONGEST!!!!!! DUHHHHH

  • are you stupid?

  • Carbon ramen is delicious.... oh rahmen... never mind.

  • well done tx

  • i think that u just answered a question that we all already know...

  • I am definitely turning off my circular saw when i ride my carbon frame bike.

Who would have guessed that steel is harder than aluminum? Duh!!!!

  • Total Moron, wasted a precious carbon fiber frame and my time also, what a douche bag.

  • Thanks for this video! Now I know I should hide from people shooting at me with a bb gun or people who go around with circular saws when I'm riding my carbon fiber bike.

  • This testing bares no resemblance in the slightest to real world conditions....there is no point to this video.

  • você é doente cara!!!!

  • Is this the guy from Midnightoil?

  • 15000th viewer! nice to get a feel for the materials.

  • nilbike _chosica _peru

  • stupid test

  • Looser.

  • I can't believe no-one's mentioned that this bloke looks like a German Terry Tibbs. Instant resemblance. I'm sure Terry would approve of the testing process as well. Talk to me!

  • @tingtongfive

    Nielist Scott Storch

  • this is the most great test i ever seen ..I LIKE IT !!!!

  • jawhool stahhle carbonen

the test with the grinder is useless, the test with the foot on the rear fork is useless

want a strong frame buy titanium so it can withstand this retard tests

Anyway a good and strong frame is a frame who withstands pedal torsion, road fatigue and real european norm crash tests ah yes: a frame that is stable and light

  • this test is usless....the way this was done makes carbon look weak and fragile, these bikes are made to stand up to stress put on my the rider when RIDING the bike.not what you can do with power tools and misusing it. they were all probably shit bikes anyway.

  • @longboardfun U are right, but all are brend bikes, and great frames, made by canyon, except the steal frame...

  • @longboardfun Well then I guess we still should know better then to use carbon fiber mountain bikes then huh?

  • It's interesting, but useless test - in real life you won't throw stones to a frame or saw it. ^_^

  • Comment removed

  • The bottom bracket shells are drilled out.

They were warranty return frames, and thus worthless.

He didn't just wreck 3 perfectly good frames...

  • Some1 had to do it

  • WHY

  • stupid test you just wrecked those expensive bikes for no reason

  • kaputt!

  • I think that this is excellent! Well done. I have been researching which bike frame to use and found this helped me a lot. Well done!!

  • get a hair cut

  • stupid test...nothing to do with riding a bike, this gay is stupid as hell>>

Warum macht man so etwas ???

  • was möchte er uns nur damit sagen?^^

  • jeah

  • cools vid, mambo :D

  • Simple and clear test.

  • Also carbon ist crap, aber wieso den flex auf'n stick ?

  • twit
