I can appreciate your son's interest with vacuums cleaners. I'm in the vacuum cleaner business and know for a 100% fact that the worst thing for a 5 year old child to be in the proximity of a NON-HEPA certified vacuum. He can be exposed to the extreme emissions of dust that ALL BAGLESS vacuum fumes into the air at a rate of 400,000 to 1,000,000 particles per square inch every 6 seconds. Your son can end up with servare sinus allergies for the rest of his life.

Fascinating!! I have loved anything that plugged into the wall from the time I was maybe 3. I too like vacuums, fans, heaters, electric mixers, washers, dryers, stoves televisions, turntables, old radios,, lighting, electric motors. I even have a collection of old extension cords! I always like appliance shops better than a toy shop as a child. I was in heaven when someone would give me something to take apart. I've worked on all this shit for 40 years. It has made me a good living!

My son (who does have Aspergers Syndrome) was also obsessed with vacuum cleaners from ages 1 to 6. He had a big collection of vacuums. He drilled everyone he met for detailed descriptions of their vacs. Just like Aidan he also created backpack style vacuums out of household objects and duct tape. He would clip photos of vacuums from the Sunday paper, and made a scrapbook out of them. Seeing this video, I was re-living all of the funny vacuum memories!

We own a vacuum cleaner shop, so my son has over 50 different models to choose from.

Needles to say he is in the shop everyday, he has also sold a few of his favourite vacuums, which include the Hoover powerdrive windtunnel u6445 model and his favourite machine, the Wertheim 5035 with the unique vibrating powerbrush. His least favourite is of course the Dyson. He collects the trade ins we get. My son is 4 years old

Wow Aidan you are a lucky boy!My son Patrick is 8 years old and also loves vacuum cleaners but has nowhere near as many as you.He's saving up at the moment for an LG cyking vacuum for his room.We already have a Miele cat&dog,a Hoover Sprint,a Bissell pro heat 2X,an i-robot Roomba & a Dyson Root 6. We also have a tiny desktop, USB powered vacuum for cleaning around the computer!I guess with all these children so into vacuums we can expect to have our houses cleaned very efficiently in the future!

No. Dyson are good suction wise but bagless cleaners just blow dust through the filters and out all over your room. Plus, they are made of REALLY cheap plastic and the motors over heat really easilly. Miele, Sebo and Kirby are better. Bagless vacs in general are just dire.
