Very good job! Pretty well sung too...But the best part is the final. I listened to John Mayer's version , but it didn't thrill me as much. I sure prefer your rendition and it doesn't matter that you're not as famous or praised the way he is. In my opinion Mayer has been much overrated in these last few years. Again, sincere compliments for the great work!! It sounds reallt thrilling and it does convey emotions. That is just what music should be all about.

Hey Steve, I'm Kenny from New Orleans and I'm 53 and grew up on Hendrix. I also play some too. I'm glad to see you doing for Jimi what SRV did for all old school bluesmen. You got me by surprise. I work in the stage and motion pic industry and I can see you doing live shows in Vegas as a very doable gig. I lost my 59 strat hard tail to hurricane Katrina but bought another one. You may wonder why I say that so much. I really got that from a Bootleg Jimi Hendrix album with that title. It had rehearsals for the Royal Albert Hall on it and the album was titled 'Good Vibes' I liked that expression ever since.

That was never the intention as Randy Hansen already has the look and Steve says he can't really come close, so why bother. He says his hair sort of naturally has the look and that's about it. But if you don't have the right face and body, you can end up looking goofy. Steve has said many times, that it's only about the music and sound, for him. Although, he can tell that some people are disappointed that they are not seeing an all out impression. You should see Randy Hansen.

Nice comment. This question has been asked before. Steve says he can't remember, for sure, which Fuzz/Distortion unit he was using. He thinks he had the Roger Mayer Heavy Metal Fuzz plugged in on this night. The Heavy Metal might now be known as the Mongoose, but not sure. The pedal was called Heavy Metal, when aquired in the 80's. The 2nd lead, he uses an Ibanez Modulated delay set to a custom flanging setting. Click on my name, then find the right section to see background pics of FX.
