i was always a fan of Cat Power's version of this cover before i heard this one. but i really like this cover as well. i think both versions attack the song in complete different directions. and i like that. im glad we have both versions of this incredible song now :)

lisa hannigan has a better voice but in that song they are both absolutely made for each other.Her best few lyrics are at the end of his first album when she does a ghost track after its ended,paraphrasing silent night.

This song is SO beautiful; the lyrics are tragic, painful and poignant. Reminds me of my last long-term relationship - I stupidly could have been singing the lyrics, as they were exactly how I felt. Oh well ........ thank God I've moved on, because living like that was sh**.

I love this! It's kind of a jazz-ier side of Damien. It's not that often you find a cello solo in the middle of a jazz song :D It's quite simply Amazing, as usual. The piano composition totally stands out.
