Free-Running was created FROM parkour and is the same as Parkour but adorned with tricks and flips... David Belle (to my knowing, the founder of Parkour) says that Parkour does not include tricks because they don't help you to get to your destination. Hope u understood...

@2fast2jack Near correct. David Belle came up with making it an everyday activity and gave it the name. However, the art of doing parkour has been around since...well...whenever humans found out they could move that way, it's definitely not a new thing. Anyways, freerunning isn't exactly about going from point A to point B, it's FREErunning, there doesn't need to be a destination. =) One last thing, freerunning was made by (in a way, obviously) Sébastien Foucan. History is amazing. =D

@Zarek49 Well, i said "to my knowing, the founder", guess everyday one learns something new. i knew the freerunnig definition but there wasnt much space to write the whole def, and i was helping clear the mind answering his question. Sebastien Foucan made Freerunning FROM Parkour, he was teached by David Belle, but he wanted to add he's style to it. And yes, history is amazing, i agree. ;^)
