  • A Theocracy would not be good at all.

  • it's ok we would have alot more people alive today if god didn't kill them all because of Starvation and other such things. O wait you people forgot God creates everything. EVEN GAYS!

  • Christianity is gay. End of story.

  • "are you on the internet machine?"... "yes"... "ok i dont want to talk to you because everybody except me is stupid and i dont want people to disagree with me"... HAHAHAHA christians are doomed, dont text and drive, oh whatever your not listening

  • This is why I vote democrat. Lesser of the two evils.

Republicans hold moral values equivalent to cavemen, liberals tax anything that moves.

  • @jordan7278

Democrats and Republicans are two sides of the same coin.

Factions or political parties were created to divide the people. Instead of guarding their rights granted by the Constitution/Bill of Rights their alliance is to their political party.

None of matters at this point. The US is done for.

  • If there are 2 evils and not another viable choice, you have to chose 1 (whether greater or lesser) or not chose (& just let things be).

  • The provinces must look to their own defense, Rome has fallen.

  • @formless777 and a greater power always takes the others place.

  • @Dogmeat1950

Not so. It may take centuries. I don't see a phoenix rising from the ashes. I see a country whose goose is cooked.

  • *Gasp* compromise the christans could never do that, becuase they are right and my heathen athiest self should be stoned to death.

  • How the hell is this guy from "American Vision" at 5:13 any different in any way from the radical elements of the Taliban or groups like Al-Qaeda who endorse society's return to ecclesiastical jurisprudence (religious law) as its essential source of governance and the measure for all standards of behavior???

    Scary guy.

Right after this segment, another speaker talks about the creeping doom of Islamofascism and how it seeks to impose its religious views on us- talk about willful ignorance!

  • Thankfully these hypocrite JESUS FUCKS have nio much intolerance and HATE in their hearts, they will never unite. They are too busy with in house fighting, trying to get rid of those they deem as heretics. THERE MORONS ARE EVIL. THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED. THEIR IDOIOT GOD IS FUCKING MAKE BELIEVE.

The ONLY rainbow is that most of these insignificant morons are oLD and will DIE SOON. May their hate and bigotry die with them. WHAT A BUNCH OF STUPID FUCKING RETARDS.

  • @rblight10 Slow down, turbo. This is an issue that draws out emotions for ALL of us, but what you just said is NOT gonna help ANYONE. You hate them for being hatefull, etc? Doesn't that sound funny to you?

Or, as you probably know, almost ALL the arguments from that side of the issue are rooted in trying to poke holes in ideas using semantics; the spin language; they make inaccurate claims about their intent. But the one thing they never do is PROVE anything. So when we do that, they capitalise.

  • @matThaHatter

Don't mistake ANGER for HATE that leads to DISCRIMINATION. You won't see me at any anti-religion rallies looking to deny anyone their civil rights. That is the difference between me and them. Most of these people are actively involved in attempts to deny people rights (homosexuals, immigrants, Muslims, etc.). I fail to see why you are so concerned with appealing to them and somehow 'getting through'. THESE PEOPLE SIMPLY DON'T THINK. Its is a complete waste of time.

  • Man, Huckabee is the poster boy for anti-intellectualism.

  • oh my.. a mental case he denies he is gay closet case..these crazy idiots are just brainwashed fools

  • If we didn't abort the babies, we could have sent them to die in the war.

Don't you just love conservative thinking?!

  • @CanadiaNecro1 i know right! its just lovely*sarcasm* then up sorry your baby's gay o well he should go to hell now!

  • Separation of church and state protects us from the people being interviewed in this video. Imagine if they had real power. What laws would they pass? what infractions would become punishable by death?

Theocracies always seem to go bad for the people being controlled. This separation allows people to practice any religion they want but also to be free from religion. It seems to me that theocracy is just another form of dictatorship. Look at any theocracy operating today.

  • @ptango101 u guys are lucky you had the founders. if it wasn't for that part of the constitution america would be a theocracy right now, haha.

  • The only GOOD theocrat is a DEAD theocrat.

  • We're in deep shit. All the more reason to enjoy life, I guess; before we slip back from anything approaching civilization.

  • Notice how Lou Sheldon seems to be an authority on homosexuality? Sheldon is an old closet case who was forced to live the straight life. Under that tired old skin is a Old Queen that has become a gay hater, much like closet cases who bully others.

He could not make it as a preacher so became a lobbyist for Christian gay hate groups. He is a pathetic Old Aunti Mame

type who has used religion as a camouflage for who he really is. He and Larry Craig are 2 peas in a pod. Both closet cases.

  • There aren't left wing pundits calling for the killing of non-seculars and the dismantlement of the constitution that get the airplay of a Coulter.

Stop believing this "both sides have crazy people lol" bullshit. There may be insane left wing people but the only attention they get is from Fox News and Limbaugh trying to prop them up as their liberal counterparts, except their counterparts don't have TV networks and daily radio shows.

  • This is the biggest lie and I hear it get repeated over and over: that there are crazies on both sides and the media focuses on them.

Last I checked, there wasn't a Communist left convention that all the Democratic candidates go to speak at.

  • Umm...the aborted babies would not replace the illegals doing work, because think they are too good to do those types of work. Ergo, all those extra people would do is hire even more illegals to cut their lawns, etc., making the "illegal immigration" problem even worse...FAIL

  • Great job Max! Keep up the good work.

  • Comment removed

  • I have yet to see hard core Liberals expose the dangerous culture inside Muslim mosques. When they do, they portray them as mostly harmless, but continually rail against Christians. The reason is clear; Liberals are not afraid of Christians (pretend to be) but are actually afraid of Muslims. They didnt publish the Danish cartoon of Mohammad. Liberals are cowards and is why I don't take them seriously. Christians have the balls to take on the Muslims and get my respect for at least that.

  • Do you think that if Jesus -- the Prince of Peace -- were to come back to Earth today, he'd pump his fist at Republican rallies screaming "USA! USA!" while calling for more war in Iraq and Afghanistan?

  • You are a racist

  • Hmmm. That's not an answer to my question.

Typical right-wing fascist Christian question dodging. What else is news?

  • Fuck Jesus you racist.

  • Fuck Jesus? I thought you were a Christian. What would The Lord say?

Do you think Jesus would be on the side the U.S. in the War on Terror?

  • No. Jesus would lie down and die like a wounded sheep.

  • So why were you railing against "liberals" hating "Christians" in your comments?

If you dislike Jesus because he would "lie down and die like a wounded sheep", do you think all peace activists should also be nailed to a cross like Jesus?

  • if jesus were here today he would be screaming at people on the sidewalk and selling pencils from a cup.

  • I'd tend to agree with you.

  • You couldn't handle Jesus if he fucked you.

  • the irony of it all is that Jesus was born in the middle east. He would look more like the Iraqis he supposedly would be calling to bomb than the white Republicans, buddy! Funny how neocons always believe God is on their side and therefore can blow shit up

  • You are wrong, I am liberal and I recognize that fundamentalist Muslims are far more violent and oppresive than fundamentalist Christians. But many liberals don't want to criticize Muslims because it helps the forces of neo-imperalism that want to dominate the Middle East. And these Christians who believe in Armegeddon are scary and have tremendous influence in our government.

  • Geez, the mere though of these kinds people ever coming to power makes me shudder.

Don't get me wrong their are many loving genuine christians who do truly devote their lives to emulating Jesus Christ, but these types of christians are frightening!

  • This isn't Christianity, this is fear and hatred.

  • You say tomato, I say tomato

  • The cut at 5:35 from christian order to islamo fascism is ingenous.

    5Stars

  • What people forget is that there is no such thing as a "theocracy". That would be "rule by God". Sorry to disappoint the Christian Reich crowd , but God has more important matters on His plate than their agenda.

What is referred to as "theocracy", rather than "rule by God", is "rule by assholes who use God as an alibi for their greed, self indugence, and petty tyranny." The men who use God are every bit as moral as any secular humanist, but tempered by the base alloy of hypocrisy.

  • Einstein, Edison, Marie Curie, all pretty much denounced Religious Gods. This peabrained Huckabee doesn't realize that religion kills creativity in people. Please don't lecture me on the possible geniuses that might have lived if you had your way. There would be no geniuses only selfless, souless puppets, just like during the spanish inquisition when everybody obeyed the word of the bible. Wonderful times those people had on the torture rack.

  • max is my hero

  • Anti-choice, pro-war, pro-execution...wwjd?? not this.

  • @Mams31383 most of these anti-abortionist christians were with the israeli's when they bombarded gaza and killed 1300 people in the 2009 genocide, a percentage of the 1300 were babies.

  • Oh wow what a cook!!!! Jesus is Satan's brother? Man that's much crazier than God, an invisible man in the sky who knows everything about everything, sent Jesus down to die for our sins. One of those stories is crazy but the other is true. Which is it? lol

  • The religious right is a response to the Liberals passing laws and establishing government agencies to foster their own agenda. In other words the Liberals created the neoCons.

But the Christian Reconstructionists are not necessarily neoCons because they want more of a Theocracy which isnt in response the anything the Liberals have been doing. They simply believe it is their dominion.

  • Christian Reconstructionists focus mostly on domestic restructuring. Their foreign policy attitudes are unclear. We would have to wait until they gained power (which obviously won't happen). Either way I wish more people would educate themselves about Rushdoony and the like, and the core of dominionist thought.

  • To Huckabee-Extra people would've needed jobs but they would've also needed to consume, increasing the demand for jobs.

To that old guy-"We've done things together." LOL

  • lol that guys on youtube now

  • "the religious right is just the ku klux klan in disguise"

They are far more dangerous than that. You are being too kind.

  • The best speaker WAS Ron Paul. He made the most sense and was not afaid to criticise the RNP who has shown their pretty good as critics but pretty poor at leadership. Check out Ron Pauls videos

  • I think the FRC values are good. America does need values. The RNP is selling the FRC fake values platform. McCain(openly Gay Chief of Staff) and Gingrich are adulterers, Romney funded abortion, embraced the Gay Pride Day. Very few Republican's are aware of this and would be shocked and quit the party IF they knew. Alan Keyes was banned outright, Ron Paul nearly banned, because they would not buy the GOP countryclub direction of the party and would not sit down and shut up like good boys.

  • Well Alan Keyes is a fucking idiot. Maybe that's why they banned his ass.

  • They complain about abortion, but God killed millions in the Bible, including babies and cut women open to ensure their "race" died out (isn't that abortion?) and they have no problem with it. Hypocrites.

  • Notice how all the "values" these people are wanting to bring to American government have to do with what other people do with their lives.

It's obvious that their one true value is control.

  • Agreed and it's disgusting that they'd want to shove their stone age values down our throats. And it was funny when the woman mentioned there are too many mosques, what happened to the religious freedom they always whine about? Oh, right, it only applies when THEY want something. I would really hope Jesus doesn't exist because it would be torture for him to watch his message turned into this travesty. From what I recall he had a thing against hypocrites.

  • the religious right is just the ku klux klan in disguise

  • Absolutely terrifying.

  • People become Christians because they realize that the are not perfect and that we have all sinned and need forgiveness. Christians would never talk about you the way you talk about them. Christians actually feel pain and sadness that comes from a deep love for ALL humans that can only come from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Fearmongering? Christians believe that in the last chapter they win, a hope is not something you lose as a christian. What are they fearing?

  • They become christians because they need something other than booze or pills. Or they came from a really dysfunctional family.

Whacked out Christians like the ones on this video suffer from ignorance and arrested development.

  • UGH... I hate christians. There all a bunch of two-faced fucks who say one thing and do another.

  • I bet Jesus christ would be shaking his head if he saw this people

  • Wow--change the words a bit and we would be at a democratic "nazi" party!

  • I promise I'm not trying to play the 'Hitler card', but does this remind anyone else of the tactics used by the Nazis? It's all hate and fearmongering.

  • "does this remind anyone else of the tactics used by the Nazis?"

Yes. It reminds me of Nazi tactics.

  • The good news is that even enough Evangelicals have had it with these christ-nazis and their bullshit so that their influence has ebbed.

Still, this is no time to be complacent: see to it that all of your friends who are sick of this ChristianReich crap are registered to vote, and contribute to progressive candidates who support separation of church & state.

  • these so-called christians MUST be stopped! they have taken advantage of our religious freedom, which is a beautiful thing AND includes the right to NOT believe in god. they've successfully spread the myth that this country is founded on christianity, and are doing their best to turn this into a theocracy. the rest of us, sane christians, muslims, hindus, athiests, agnostics, buddhists, etc...MUST NOT LET THIS HAPPEN.

  • Religion is a mental illness, obviously.

  • I love the woman insulting the mormon religion, like hers is makes any more sense with the likes of burning bushes, men living in whales, and virgin births. God I hate these double standards.

  • Yeah, it's kind of akin to saying...

"He believes Agoro the Monstrous is living in the same metaphysical realm as Oglethorpe the Wise? Are you serious?!"

Religious lunacy comes in many colors, this lady is simply performing a classic example of the pot calling the kettle black.

  • HAHAHAH! That's too good. May I quote that?

  • These poeple are all asleep.

    Abortion! Abortion! Abortion!

    Bombing the innocent in Iraq.

    Hypocrites.

  • yes pro life and pro war! if children die in iraq thats unfortunante but its a just war some 100,000 must die so america can go out and save 100 million thats what the christian right believes

  • They are NOT 'pro-life', they are Anti-Choice.

  • that's like 30 million more stimulus checks!

  • So many arrogant dumb fucking people. They should have been aborted for all their hate.

  • Islamofacist? Fuck! Hypocrites! Shit! These guys are facist

  • Ha.... "are you on youtube?"

"yes, I put my videos on youtube."

"Then I don't want to talk to you."

WAY TO BE COURAGEOUS, kid. Neglecting your own sexual orientation and the criticism of random civilians on youtube.

    these people. wow.

  • scary

  • These people are freaks - listen at 5:30

An interviewee actually says "there should be no public education" ! WHAT!?!?

I fundamentally believe that ALL religions make their adherents DUMBER and more OVINE.

All religion needs to be abolished.

    Wake up and embrace atheism.

There are no souls - no god has ever spoken.

Every religious text is the ravings of an unfortunate having a neurotic or psychotic episode. Or, more likely, they are written by

    power-mad authoritarians.

    BURN BIBLES FOR FUEL!

  • "All religion needs to be abolished."

That's been tried, and unfortunately it doesn't work. What's needed is for humanity as a whole to get a clue. That's not going to happen any time soon.

  • Awesome video, Max, you're an American Hero.

  • How did you attend this and perform these interviews without running screaming through the halls? I am impressed by your objectivity and presence of mind. Poor Jesus, what idiocy has occurred and what misery has been created in his name.

  • Huckabee's question:"Why are we importing people in our workforce" and he answers it because we "abort" so many babies?!?!? What the hell? It's because businessmen want cheap labor? But I guess why bring the truth to your constituency?

  • Wow these people are world class retards. However, I would like to hold hands and maybe makeout with the hottie at 4:10. Maybe after 2 or 3 dates I could get some of that stank on my hang-low. That would be little piece of heaven. Wow, that sounded creepy or ackward. Lord forgive me

  • "maybe makeout with the hottie"

Your standards are pretty low. I wouldn't touch her myself. She gives me the creeps.

  • Lest we forget...

"We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population. and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." Margaret Sanger

  • "Do not believe that I seek revolutionary forms of justice. We don't need justice at this point... I propose, I demand, the organization of revolutionary annihilation against all active counterrevolutionaries."

    - Feliks Dzerzhinsky

Yep those are some nice friends you lefties have.

  • "I come to the inescapable conclusion that we must now launch the most decisive and merciless battle against the Black Hundreds clergy and crush their resistance with such ferocity that they will not forget it for several decades... The bigger the number of reactionary clergy and reactionary bourgeois we manage to shoot in the process, the better."

    - V. I. Lenin

  • "As for us, we were never concerned with the Kantian-priestly and vegetarian-Quaker prattle about the 'sacredness of human life.'"

    - Leon Trotsky

"We have no compassion and we ask no compassion from you. When our turn comes, we shall not make excuses for the terror."

    - Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels

  • "We are socialists, we are enemies of today's capitalistic economic system for the exploitation of the economically weak, with its unfair salaries, with its unseemly evaluation of a human being according to wealth and property instead of responsibility and performance, and we are all determined to destroy this system under all conditions"

  • Apparently the leftist fools posting here never learned that Socialism has murdered more people since the start of the 20th century than all the crusades and holy wars combined.

Amazing how the left follows such luminaries as Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Margaret Sanger, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, Ho Chi Minh and then says James Dobson is dangerous. What a bunch of putzes.

Nice Nietzsche quote... why not just say what you lefties really mean and quote Hitler...

  • WOW. Scary as shit. Thanks so much for posting this!

  • Which fairy tale would that be?

  • thanks for sharing. nice selection for song.

  • I can feel the hate in the room, good reporting

  • Right wing Christians don't have as much influence as they use too. They contiue to lose influence and will in the future because Christianity, especially fundmentalist Christianity is dieing in the US.

  • "What about death penalty for blaspheming and homosexuality?"

    "That's a good question."

    THAT'S A HORRIBLE QUESTION!!!!

  • Typical leftist rubbish with out of context comments presented and an uninspiring attempt to prove an untruth. It is frightening to think that the left in America still believe propaganda such as this.

  • how does gay men kill black women through abortion

  • this is great! we need more people willing to go out and report what is going on. Thank you for your efforts. Your bias and sense of humor is appreciated.

  • Max, I love this video and it's been favorited for weeks. However, why do you have the scrolling text at the bottom? It is annoying and, more importantly, extremely distracting. Your CUFI video didn't need it and neither did this one. Just because certain 'news' organizations do it, doesn't make it a good idea.

  • people waste their lives defending some things: just as the pot smoker apologists spend their whole lives defending a plant

    to each his own

i believe in rights equal to all.. go fight those who execute homosexuals-muslim fanatics

that will be braver than battling country Christians at a fair who would take you to dinner and church

i have gay friends and they are just as valuable human beings as i am... your choice of consuming hatred is too overreactive, like a food allergy to wheat

  • (continued) we will end this discussion because it's not my passion to argue for sodomy unlike some people in this room, and then they bash the bible which prevented the jews from diseases (there is a difference between harsh laws of Moses and then grace given by Jesus ...an evolution/progress of thought..I don't want to think of something so vile to me as sodomy though you can advocate sodomy if you like and make it your life purpose to defend

  • These people are living in an 18th century ideal. To bad, they need to realize the previous centuries were horrible when it came to human rights and values.

  • if that guy at the beginning of the video didn't want to be on youtube, then mblumenthal should edit him out because of decency..

  • i would equate the people who have paranoia of a theocracy in the united states to people i've met who believe george w. bush is going to illegally try to stay in office right at the end of his term... extremely wrong and scared of an invisible boogeyman

  • Max Blumenthal.. where does your anger against Huckabee's statement against aborting babies come from? How strange. "cutting lawns and making beds" You're the one unbalanced.

I don't agree with some of the ludicrous statements of some of these people..but what's wrong with an Abstinence organization? Is preventing stds among the young people so bad? so James Dobson can't say he won't vote for a prochoice candidate Guiliani? At least he's consistent with all his advocacy for the last 30 years.

  • Wrong with preaching abstinence alone? It doesn't work, and can be shown to cause more trouble than it solves. Teenagers in pious USA are 70 times more likely to have gonorhoea than teens in secular Netherlands. Abstince vow takers delay sex by an average of 18 months, but during that time are MORE likely to have anal and oral sex, and when they finally stick it in, they are LESS likely to use a condom.

Teen pregnancy FOUR times that of the rest of the developed world, which is far more secular.

  • there's less risk of getting an std by abstaining from all kinds of sex .. it's pretty simple...there's nothing wrong with groups that teach this in getting funds from the government..

  • Except that they cause more harm than good, and contribute to human misery. Give the kids condoms and sex education, not threats of eternal damnation if they follow the almost irresistible hormonal demands of their 'intelligently designed' bodies.

  • steve, steve.. i am not here trying to witness or evangelize or lift up the Bible as the literal Word of God. I'm not trying to win you to Jesus or whatever. I'm giving my experential first hand knowledge from looking at both sides of these issues, and knowing both sides of these issues.. and you my friend are paranoid to an unreasonable level.. and watching mblumenthal's videos says that same thing about him-- especially the way he talks to the 12 year governor of Arkansas

  • Paranoid? I'm not the one who is scared of what my gay colleagues do with their trousers down. Fundies are. I'm not scared that the creator of the universe has no greater concern that what teenagers do behind closed doors. Fundies are. You say "scared of an invisible boogeyman". Now who does that apply to. An atheist, or someone who prostrates themselves regularly to avoid eternal damnation by a 2000 year old jewish zombie? Invisible boogeyman indeed. paranoid indeed.

  • ok now i understand..your distrust comes from gay persecution

  • No. not distrust, rather disgust. I am disgusted by ANY text that proclaims that people should be killed for being gay, working on sunday, not following a religion, or losing their virginity before marriage, yet honours people who sell their children, keep slaves, kill infidels, and make human & animal sacrifices.

And I am equally disgusted by people who hold up such texts as containing moral guidance.

You tellingly say 'distrust'. Is there anything to trust in such people? Morality? Wisdom?

  • i got to hold back because what i'm about to say is so vile..but just to warn you, since you don't believe in the old testament, listen to me..there's a horrible practice in the world that causes so much disease among the population, and maybe the government should be concerned to protect people's health..i don't know if you know about it..but it's a practice where someone uses their sexual organ and then puts it inapart of the body that is meant to remove waste..it'sreallyshamefultospeakaboutit

  • (continued) and since the old testament is such a book of hatred of course, at least you can rely upon your common sense which will tell you that that kind of practice doesn't really fit what that part of the body was made for..just wanted to make you aware steve.. so you can be protected from disease if you ever walk in a bathhouse or whatever.. it's not the desire you know.. it's the protection of your health..just giving you a heads up ;}

  • So, are you saying that we should kill them? If no, then we agree, because I have no desire to put my dick in an ass. Give them condoms and education, and let them live their life. If yes, that they should be put to death, then you are an immoral person, and your moral stance has no place in a sensible discourse.

You really have to take a clear stance on this, as I am doing. Do you want them killed or not? There are about 5 gay guys at my work, my friends. Should those 5 guys be killed?

  • I have never said that homosexuals should be put to death. Good God! I didnt write the Old Testament laws. I don't see any Christians in America who are educated and in leadership calling for that.I am also for sex education. The reason why I'm responding to these mblumenthal's videos is because I see his mentality as destructive and hyperparaonid-and he's not funny..the way he responded to mike huckabee was ridiculous..he seemed like he met some nicer people at the conference than himself

  • "Good God! I didn't write the old testament laws."

So will you join me in decrying them as barbaric, disgusting and revolting?

Will you join me in acknowledging that the old testament is NOT a source of morality?

And will you join me in facing the obvious - that the christian religion gets its morality from US. WE know what to discard and what to uphold because we have a clearer sense of ethics than the bloodthirsty bronze-age savages who wrote it.

  • my point is that there's no need to now.. it's irrelevant to fight against it because no where in the world are people getting stoned for being homosexual from Christians.. go fight against the Quran, where they still execute homosexuals, adulterers, etc..

and besides, I will not give up on Jesus, who is the only one in the history of the world that promised eternal life and forgiveness of sins as a guarantee and then supposedly rose from the dead-- i'm not counting that out..

  • I'll take that as a 'no'.

You're going to go on serving a god who thought that animal sacrifices, genocide, war, plague, misery and death penalty were all good 'fixes' for humanity, only then to instead put on a particularly barbaric human sacrifice in bronze age Palestine to save humanity, upon which one MUST believe to escape eternal torture, word of which would still not have spread to all parts of the world 2000 years later.

And you'll probably give this book to your children to read.

  • I don't know anyone 'who is scared of what my gay colleagues do with their trousers down.'

The issue is that the SAME people who want license to do whatever they please with their 'trousers down,' DEMAND, repeatedly, government money through taxation of us all to cure the numerous diseases that they obtained - due to their activity 'with their trousers down.'

Private sexual behavior has AWESOME public consequences - period.

  • Disease, hospitalisation, cost to the public. All serious issues. If you're angry about the costs imposed by aids and std patients, then you must be FURIOUS about heart disease, caused by obesity, and the illnesses that come with smoking.

I mean, you must be out there blogging on anti-obesity sites all the time, and you probably attend a church that bans smokers from joining (because you hate the sin, not the sinner, of course).

Don't try to hide your bigotry behind "public health". Hypocrite.

  • I'm not angry at anybody.

I'm merely pointing out that, ultimately, there isn't any privatized behavior that doesn't have public consequences - obesity and smoking very much included.

The obvious difference, of course, is that obesity and smoking aren't 'communicable diseases' - STD's and AIDS are...

  • "The issue is that the SAME people who want license to do whatever they please with their 'trousers down'"

Oh lord, and he's also one of those nuts who wants a surveillance camera installed in everyone's bedroom too.

"Currently, public schools are (by default) run with atheistic doctrine"

I remember having to say "one nation, under god" for the 13 years I was in public school.

Yeah, that sounds pretty "atheist" to me.

  • I've never heard of ANYONE wanting a surveillance camera in anyone's bedroom...

I also said the Pledge of Allegiance every day in grade school...followed in junior high and high school by worldviews that inherently are contrary to the Judeo-Christian value system...so, yes, it was pretty 'atheist' to me...

  • I say the pledge without the under god part, the way it was originally written. Fucking Christians got under god put in the pledge in the 50's along with it printed on our money. It sickens me.

  • LOL all I can say is I'm glad I got out of that little busybody fundie town. Nobody ever questioned that "under god" part in the pledge, because pretty much everyone there was Southern Baptist or Pentecostal (for the majority). I recall no books on Atheism, and the only books mentioning gays were published in the 70's or earlier (aka junk science by quacks).

  • 'Give the kids condoms...'

What a great idea! We should use this ethic in EVERYTHING we teach!

'Children, we KNOW you're going to smoke anyway, so here's a couple of packs to get you started. We KNOW some of you will have the inclination to shoot somebody if you momentarily get angry with someone - so here's a gun. Children, we KNOW some of you will have the inclination to take drugs and drink alcohol - so here's some pot and a six-pack...

Take care, children! You KNOW we care!!!

  • haha- funny and true about Gingrich.

That first guy talking about homosexuality obviously didn't want to get his statements on youtube.. Why did you still show it? That's not right.. Your paranoia about a "theocracy" is unhealthy. We are protected by the Constitution. When Huckabee spoke against killing the unborn, you had to make some kind of labor reference. Can people not speak about the murderering of children in the womb?? Your anger is a little irrational or misguided.

  • They respect the fetus's right to life, unless it grows up to become gay, or athiest. Then they toss up the death penalty.

    Fucking sick freaks.

  • steve131077.. are you a high schooler? how is your statement true? maybe you're a high schooler or in early college because your statement comes with passion but is totally false

  • What do these people want to do with homosexuals? Give them equal rights? No. If they truly follow their 'holy' text, they will want to kill homosexuals.

Under a theocracy, such as Iran, apostasy usually also warrants the death penalty. These aren't moslems, I know, but scan thru the old testament and see what the orders are for people who don't follow the god of the bible.

Thus, my statement was entirely sound in its logic.

"Fucking sick freaks" - yeah, I stand by that too.

    And I'm 30, fyi.

  • what christians around the world do you see stoning homosexuals? we have been through an intense critical analysis of the bible , textual criticism-- all of this started around 1500 and on.. but the Quran hasn't gone through that yet.. Muslims haven't gone through open textual criticism.. it is a younger faith..therefore you'll see death threats and bullying. your fears are totally unfounded about "stoning homosexuals" -Jesus' story of freeing the adulterer from penalty kind of set the righttone

  • Well well, doesn't that say it all. You equate literal scripture with infancy. How amazing that only now, after one and a half THOUSAND years of its world domination, can we understand what the book REALLY means when it says things like "they must be put to death".

I'll give you textual criticism - the bible is obscene, immoral, & disgusting, it mandates genocide, murder, & slavery and should be done away with, simply as a historical document written by intolerant, bigotted bloodthirsty maniacs

  • I converse with atheists and agnostics and understand arguments on both sides. My point is that the fear that America is going to become a theocracy right now just because a pastor is running for office , is completely unfounded. The best argument you have right now would be against faith based initiatives. I would agree that those are against the Constitution. But to compare to evangelicals with Taliban or a Muslim Caliphate is just ignorant honestly.

  • Apparently the ultra-hypocritical james dobson (non capitals intended) never read baby jeebus' declaration of gluttony as a deadly sin, much like all of the "loving" "christian" republicans.

Oh, and phyllis, you look like a corpse. Quit the plastic surgery already.

  • "Training to kill us in mosques" WTF?! Ever see a shooting range in a mosque? A blast chamber for explosives training? A dojo for hand-to-hand combat training?!

  • Keep up the great work, overturning big rocks to expose the venomous irrationality squirming underneath. I came from an Evangelical background, and I know how lethally (yes lethally) dangerous these people's group mindset can be. The irrationality starts not with spiritual experience but with a belief-system positing a vicious sky-god who is pleased by

torture and crucifixion. It's in its death throes but Xtianity remains a brutal blood cult ("take, drink, this is my blood ... ").

  • '...would there be the death penalty for blashpheming homosexuality?'''...problem in the Republican Party with closet homosexuality,' etc.

The paranoia that is evident in this montage via the interviewer is just silly. If you read the writings of individuals of, say, Star Parker, she is a brilliant writer and offer a lot of wisdom. It's sad that these perspectives are reduced to a 'gotcha' soundbite on behalf on the interviewer.

  • Oh, man. This is priceless! What a bunch of nutjobs. The black antiabortion woman is hilarious. "I had a lot of abortions". She admits it! haha "Homosexuality could strike you at any moment"

  • "the government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion" - Thomas Jefferson

  • Thanks Max! Brilliant!

  • Horrifying.

  • I can't decide if this is hilarious or horrifying.

  • abortion is hardly one of the biggest concerns facing america. i'd rather it be done in safe hospitals than in someones garage or using non-FDA approved pills

  • abortion is a complete non-issue.

  • Mad world we live in.

  • Lou sheldon is no christian. He is a false christian engaging in nothing but bigotry with his anti gay insults and abuse of the bible. Sheldon should be stripped of his 'rev' title as he is a disgrace to christianity.

  • youre all a bit rough on these consesrvatives. dont you guys remember the silly things you thought/believed at 12?

  • Man that's a lot of hate and exclusion in one building.

  • Neither of us know what's truly in their hearts. All I know is 'join us or go hell' feels a bit hateful. Amongst mixed crowds they get shy about it, but that's pretty much the point. Plus I believe that it is hateful to pray for the annihilation of millions so a man-god can return. Plus if their good cristians why do they hunger for this to happen they would go to heaven when they die normally?

  • If Christians believe that only people who are saved will go with Jesus in the Rapture why do they pray for it to come soon? Wouldn't a caring group want to wait until as many people as possible get saved?

  • because they want it to happen in their lifetime and want to be part of something that big. Mainly the rapture hype was due to the left behind books. And Christians don't pray for the annihilation of others, except for those that wish to destroy us, which there are many. And if you're getting that 'join us or go to hell' idea, that's not how they're trying to come across.

  • christians since the beginning of their religion have claimed that the end times are now. look at history since 100CE they make this claim.

  • Who is "us"?

  • Keep your fucked-up "love".

  • wow. thanks for posting this. I had no idea just how evil these people were.
