  • ...and in other news; A YouTube user wastes more bandwidth and storage space with another crappy video...

  • Tailgating another bus.

There's a need for a small speed hump just before the bollards.

  • @stevealston185 ...and before that bump: sound warning and a cannon shot in the drivers head.

  • Its like a raised concrete or metal pole, you will sometimes see them at the end of a road to show its a dead end or at the ends of a dirt track that is for walking only, not sure of the word in american lol.

  • Wat's "bollard" in American ?

  • @trzcinarowice I wish someone would answer so I would know too! lol

  • 3 people injured A F T E R a bus hits a bollard...

  • right in the ballards!!

  • Bitch, I'm a bus

  • They need to make these where they break away if a vehicle hits them faster them 10mph.

It would still discourage people driving in the bus lanes as no one wants a damaged bumper but there won't be any serious injuries.

I'm surprised the company that makes them has not been sued into bankruptcy due to this oversight.

  • @Membrane556 they sell these as security devices as well, to keep unwanted and potentially dangerous vehicles away from secure locations... if they broke away then, they wouldn't be doing their job.

  • @Membrane556 These are concrete bollards. They are designed to stop anything from leaving the street and protect the pedestrians. If they "break away" it defeats the purpose.

  • @Membrane556 I say install a raised kerb that would deflect the bus and would have a few inches of give to it.
