  • is the final flash the deuterium fusion?

  • That really looks stable. What is the longest run time? Will have to check your site. Thanx for sharing ;-)

  • That thing looks like something from Half-Life

  • yeah, i've seen this before on star trek....it's a static warp shell bubble.

  • Oh wow! I bet you guys got some UFO active on that test, it only a matter of time before you discover how control static with gravity now.

  • why not making a magnetic levitated dipole spherical stellarator? wiht good superconductors and reasonable size?

  • "Plus, It takes thousands of times more energy to power one of these than it actually produces."

    JT-60, Q = 1.25.

  • So is that nuclear fusion I can see ? or just hot plasma or what ? Would you just use the heat from fusion to power a traditional steam turbine ?

  • These burn so hot, that if we powered as traditional steam turbine with it, the turbine would tear itself apart from the sheer speed produced from the superheated steam.

Plus, It takes thousands of times more energy to power one of these than it actually produces. These are used primarily for research.

  • actually, if my minds doesn't fail me, the energy will come from electrons flying arround...

  • "Would you just use the heat from fusion to power a traditional steam turbine?"

Yes. The walls are heated by neutrons, x-rays and ions that fail to be contained. Though it may well be a high temperature helium turbine and not steam.
