i hate how people get horses and dont no how too look after them my mum rescued a horse and he be the best pony clubing horse ever and hes a thougherbreed and he became the cattle horse we ever had!!!! Love u gourge Love u 4 eva RIP
We are certainly not opposed to anyone making a donation to UAN's Disaster Relief Fund! : )
These donations help sustain UAN's Emergency Animal Rescue Service (EARS) so we can shelter and care for animals who are displaced by disasters or rescued from large-scale cruelty situations. You can donate online at UAN's Web site, uan.org
I believe you that UAN and VEA were stuck with the majority of the costs of care for these horses. HSUS is very good at taking most of the credit for work done by others. People should donate directly to the rescue groups, like UAN that do all the hard stuff, not HSUS.
As a member of the UAN staff, I was at this response for four weeks. HSUS, along with UAN, invested a lot of financial and personnel resources to save these horses. The majority of the financial burden of caring for these horses was borne by the two national groups that were called in to help. This is UAN’s mission – to provide free emergency sheltering to a community that is overburdened by a crisis involving a large number of animals.
I have tried to post the same questions on the HSUS channel and they refuse to answer my questions, they will not even post my questions. I hate the way HSUS takes so much credit for other groups work.
I want to know how much HSUS actually pulled out of their very deep pockets and how much all the locals spent. I bet the "locals" carried the far heaviest burden in costs and work.
