This is grossly unfair: modern folk, skeptics and "literalists" alike, projecting modern standards on to the world of those ancient illiterate folk to whom the Flood narrative was originally recited.
Experientially, even today, the sun and moon are flat disks, the stars are tiny lights and a flood means no sight of land in any direction.
An Ark is loaded with familiar cattle, chickens, camels etc, (no penguins, no koalas).
Ararat is a place far, far away - east of the sun and west of the moon.
Hats off to him for being honest at last. I used to debate this guy when he showed up a couple of years ago, (and this led to him pestering me with constant pm's). He was comically ignorant of the most basic science, arrogant and insulting when people were trying to better inform him, and tragically stuck in a child's mental/emotional-state (and weirdly obsessive of Aronra).
If he's had a turn-around I can only say "well done mate", and no hard feelings
2) If you're not from America, not everyone here is as stupid as literalist creationists (or any creationist for that matter), but sadly they do exist.
3) Andy, I'm proud of you, man! Welcome to reality.
And if you go diving without properly maintaining oxygen and pressure concentrations, then go on to fly on a airplane with the fictional Character House--he will have people squeeze you while unconscious.
Ya how did that Dove get so strong to Break off that olive leaf branch?? and how did they train it to go get it??

To cover the Earth with water to a depth of 20,000' in the span of 40 days & 40 nights, it would need to rain at a rate of about 15' per hour.

Does anyone know of illustrated pictures/diagrams/maps of how the shallow US inland sea looked??? I'd very much be interested in seeing them.
On a side note, I'm so pleasantly surprised to hear such a rational mindset from Andy. He's come a long way, I must say.

Seriously, I'd like to extend a massive congratulations to Andy here. I know that we were very impressed in the waiting room.
Well done Andy!
P.S. Can we have the next bit? It's set to private... :(
