@19doedo Hm because prior to this I had already colored my hair before so I wasn't starting from black, but I guess you could dye it again though do remember to really condition it after you've colored it!

@trivelvet Thank you (: Yeap that's true and especially so if you use box dye. If you really wanted to you could achieve a strawberry blonde look with a couple of color sessions or visit a professional salon as they would be able to do it for you, but boxdye-wise I never expected it to come out the exact same color as pictured.

hi! I have a question! lol. I dyed my hair today. normally it is a dark brown, but I wanted it light brown. However, my roots came out way lighter than the rest of my hair even though I followed all of the directions. If I used palty trying to match my hair color with the roots, would it further lighten both my roots and the rest of my hair, still making my head uneven? haha. Or will it make it all the same color again? Thanks!!! :)

@lalaLOVExTODAY Hi there. I think one reason why the roots came out lighter was because you started at that region first and took awhile to work through the rest? I typically work through the bottom first and do the roots last. I've not tried that brand of hairdye so I can't comment on it but if you wish to do that, I would suggest trying not to get any product on the roots. Though I'm not certain how it would turn out.. I might not recommend doing that.

@princetongirl763 Yeap I'll have to keep touching it up though sometimes I do get lazy and don't touch it up for awhile since I don't like to continuously color my hair. I don't mind the roots showing too much so I guess it's okay. haha.

@kristine88888 I suppose it does. So while I do color it I condition it as well to give it more nutrients back. I don't use heat on my hair at all (unless it's an event etc) so I think it's not too bad.

My previous hair color (before strawberry blonde) was an auburn shade. I believe a close match is Bright Auburn by Revlon. Or if you don't wish for something that bright, I believe they have a shade called Light Auburn. It's still auburn, without that much of a coppery-bright look. And yes it will work on dark brown hair. It might come out a little bit darker, depending, but it will change the color of your hair.

If your hair is dark then it might not come out a bright orange if you don't bleach it. If your hair is light, then I suppose it might have an orange tinge, but for colors like orange, bright red etc, they tend to fade as you wash it. Autumn hair sounds pretty cool. I would suggest to get copper brown and orange highlights instead. That'l look pretty good.

I had bleached my hair before, like a couple of dye-jobs before I colored it auburn. Not sure if that had anything to do with the color, but I did not bleach my hair JUST before coloring it auburn. And I just colored strawberry blonde over the auburn, didn't bother bleaching it again either (: Thanks!

I love your hair! Since your Asian, your hair is naturally black, right? I would totally try to dye my hair this color, but my my hair is naturally chocolate brown (with red and golden tints), so I don't know if Strawberry blonde would make my hair dirty blonde looking... But, that color turned out fantastic on you!

It depends on your hair texture and how your hair reacts to color, but you would most probably get a light brown to dirty blonde looking sort of a shade. Not really an ashy dirty blonde though since the strawberry blonde has pretty strong red tones, and so does you hair. It'll be a nice warm light color (:

My previous hair color was actually about the same shade. A little bit more reddish maybe, but about the same. I guess it might be a similar color but maybe not as red, as my previous color was a read. I'm not entirely sure though, but in my experience Revlon hair dyes are pretty good.

It depends on the dye (quality of it) and your hair texture. I would say it would most probably turn a medium shade of brown if you use a decent dye brand like Revlon, Gatsby etc. For those cute-sy unknown Japanese brands, I'm not sure how potent they are.

Aw thanks. I guess it would differ slightly depending on whether you have bleached or colored your hair before. I colored over an auburn shade so it kind of turned out this way. It might not be as bright, or it might, I'm not entirely sure. I left it on for an hour though. haha.

I used revlon's ammonia free hair dye and I chose one that is dark blonde, guess what it turned out on my asian hair? It's a very dark brown. It sucks I"m gonna try Hoyu next..

Yeah, box dyes have this problem of not being able to bleach enough so the hair becomes light.
