  • @vogelmandrie i agree, but i really like him anyway

  • To me he is not presenting a new way of looking to music at all, Edgard Varese (Ameriques, Arcana) , Silvestre Revueltas (Sensemayá , La noche de los Mayas) or Pierre Boulez and Olivier Messiaen, they were real innovating composers.

  • @vogelmandrie And why would you say that, my fellow youtube member?

  • BTW, as a trumpeter his music is tough as nails.

  • Thank you so much for putting this on here. I have been trying to hear it. Many, many thanks. I am a fan of his music. He is a cut above the vast majority of living composers in my opinion.

  • @tylerknowlton I couldn't agree more. On his "style" - if we can call it that way - and category I don't know anyone comparable, they're all dead… The only living composer I listen and enjoy as much as Adès is Reich, but his work basically follows the opposite approach on musical expression and composition, the "bizarro" Adès if you like.
