we dont whip horses for no reason & ya some people abuse animals but some people whip horses either to get them to listen! just like a lil kid wen they misbehave or wen you are competing and your runnin for home u give them a few smacks & then praise them for the good job they did so we dont whip them for no reason. i love my horses and praise them when they are good i dont whip them for no reason & i dont do it hard to hurt them either

@zephranna01 are you serious?? have you seen a horse flicker it's skin when a fly lands on it? That shows just how sensitive a horses skin is! So whipping them and saying they cannot feel it is just utterly stupid and heartless!

@LifeIsDeceiving no shit they feel it but with new and improved whips (which are completely padded and 100% REQUIRED to be used by all jockeys) they feel the PRESSURE. It doesn't hurt a bit. Horse skin is obviously tougher than human skin and I've tested the whip on myself (my bare legs). No pain at all, just leaves some red marks that go away within a matter of seconds.

The whip is not a weapon towards the horse it is originally purpose is a training tool to get the horse's attention like with me i am against using it but when my horse is trying to buck me off or is not in the right frame of mind you have to get he/she back on the same page with you but there are some very aggressive riders out there who do beat their horses especially the jockeys in the horse racing world

If I caught them protesting at the whipping of horses in my neighborhood, I'd ask the rider for his whip, run after them, snapping them about the back, hard as I can, saying, "Oh, so I suppose you'd rather I do it to you, then? Fine with me! I always wanted to whip some activist ass!"

Seriously, kikiza123 is right, Horses have thick skin and if it truly hurt the horse, it would buck the rider off, Yeah whipping the Horse seriously hard leaving marks and stuff is cruel but a simple tap on the hind end aint cruel at all, That's practically calling every horse rider cruel to their horses... Seriously needs to be re worded because I care for my horse but if they try to act stupid and they know better I tap them with a whip...

A horses skin is thick not as thin as cow hide but thick and if my horse is acting up he gets a lil pop nothing abusive but I think how jockeys whip there horses is crule.....so yeah

i believe whipping should only be used on a horse in racing or a tap on the shoulder as encouragement. they should be made of material that won't hurt the horse and should NOT under any circumstances be used to punish an animal or be used on an animals face
