  • This is an interesting documentary, but I don't like the intro or background music.

  • four f***ing octaves.. that is bloody superhuman..

  • I love how the art teacher mentioned how he always said "darling" to people. That has always been the main thing I noticed when I watched interviews with him. It makes it so much more lovely knowing that he had been like that since a boy lol.

  • Kanye West is a minion of the "Piffy Diddy"... Do you see the resemblance of the two? I agree he is a waste of space in this world.

  • @chris671 Give it a rest. Kayne is just a dude making music as he sees fit. If you don't like it, don't listen to it, you dick.

  • @BigBagsForRent Kanye lover... suck his dick!

  • freddie didnt look indian though...

  • @NathanJesseMcCarthy He did look Persian- Not Indian.

  • little did they know that Freddie would become a superstar in the greatest rock band ever called queen rocking out partying getting laid 24/7 making beautiful music while that bruce became some loser in India and did nothing but get rejected from chicks. I miss you freddie mercury thank you for all the beautiful music you made <3 you will live forever.

  • So Freddie Mercury was in a skiffle band. For some reason, I never would've expected that.

  • Too bad they didn't have camcorders back then, how cool would it be to see what he was like growing up?

  • So cute, I love when he says "darling" in the interviews.

  • farang had freddy in his band

  • Freddies m other and sister seems really lovely. Oh man I love Freddie. He indeed was something special. Can't wait to see the movie about him!

  • @swedishfootballfan their is going to be movie!?!?!...dang im exicited :)

  • I'd listen to the Hectics lol! I love that he went round calling everyone "darling" even then, brilliant :D

  • This school is heavy on control! Choir singing Wings of a Dove? Made popular in the 50's by Ferlin Husky. I like the song Freddie is singing during the 'I love my country' section of this part of the documentary.

  • This school is heavy on control!

  • Its okay Freddie! Your hair was reincarnated as a bitchin' mustache!

  • it is a pitty there is no exists recordings from the hectics

  • Oh my god, he even loved his hair back then!

  • 4:12 "freddie had a crush on me" freddie frikkin mercury!!! it be so weird to be in her place and look back on that

  • The hectics...Way too cute! (points)Youd better be there! When those kids jumped up...I thought they were gonna go thru the roof! Way sweet!!

  • For those idiots that are saying he is queer we shouldnt like him. IT WASNT ABOUT HIS SEXUALITY, BUT HIS AMAZING TALENT!!! >:( i hate gay people but i deadset love freddie... suck on that

  • @MrToiletclogger you hate him then!

  • @kevinlara96 nope i just said but i deadset love freddie... >_>

  • the shot at 9:04 gives me chills like nothing else

  • I think all children should attend a boarding school. They may not have teen pregnancy, gang affiliations and dropouts. This school freddie attended really wanted children to better themselves. The school boards in California,Louisiana,Washington D.C.,Michigan can learn from the boarding school system. Mr.Mercury received a proper education

  • at 1.00 is the mosque called hajiali opposite to that is my college

  • @ihateyoujerkoff I think there is something wrong with you. ;)

  • @ihateyoujerkoff flick off

  • @ihateyoujerkoff How are people who like the same gender anything like people who like doing inappropriate things with children?

  • @Dancerpaw they are BOTH EVIL and against the teachings of Ahura Mazda in the Zoroastrian Faith.

  • @SocratesTheGadfly Whatever, dude. If that's what you choose to believe, I can't stop you.

  • @Dancerpaw once again you are wrong, it is NOT about what I believe. I have studied zoroastrianism and am only reciting the teachings for others to ponder and question.

  • @SocratesTheGadfly But you didn't tell me that, you only said "they're both evil and go against the Zoroastrian Faith". Nothing like "I'm just reciting this".

  • @SocratesTheGadfly Either way, this video isn't about what whoever believes or Zoroastrianism, or what is considered wrong in Zoroastianism to ponder and question, or how pedophilia is MUCH different from bisexuality and homosexuality. It's about Farrokh Bulsara, or Freddie Bulsara, or Freddie Mercury, and should be treated with at least some respect seeing how he was one of the best and brightest people to have walked this earth. And I honestly don't care what you, or anyone else, believes.

  • @Dancerpaw yet, he was a profoundly FLAWED human being just as we all are ( especially myself included ). however, farokh bulsara's selfishness and narcissism led to his own personal self destruction much TOO EARLY and that is the real tragedy. the goal of life is to lead the best life possible for as long as possible and if one has a special talent, SHARE that talent with others. Freddie definitely had talent just as my ex best childhood friend had talent but WASTED his Life

  • lol people arguing over freddie's nationality...who cares if he was an iranian, indian or an african....he was a music legend! and thats all that matters!!

  • @OriginalKamil It matters to them because they hate to think of him as being anything but white.

  • i bet gita wishes she was fucking interested now

  • fuck off bruce!

  • I'm crying :c

  • the only thing i could think of after i finished watching this documentary was that "there must be more to life than this"

  • Freddies mom is such a sweet person, you can see in her eyes how proud she is of him still.

  • the darling thing is complete shite she just wants some kind of claim to him shes full of it

  • of course you know it all, you were there, right?

  • another song question, sorry. whats the song at 5:50? thank you, pardon my ignorance

    hahaha

  • "There Must Be More To Life Than This"

One of my favourites... Beautiful message. Really underrated song... Michael Jackson worked on it with him and he sang the demo.

  • Ya, they worked several times. Freddie was actually going to sing Thriller if michael didnt. I would have loved to hear him do thriller even a demo.

  • @PahangDragonbird Wow i must hear it...

  • ,Mustapha' again ;)) at 1:0

  • what the song at 1:00? is it by freddie? thanks

  • i couldent watch this amazing video it made me cry to much because i love freddie so much and he special to me, if i could i would give my heart to him. it makes me so sad

  • allright, if ms smith said that freddie called other guys darling naturally as much as that shouldn't be taken seriously you just can't blame freddie for his gayness

  • They are clear Indians, which quite obvious from thier looks, tan, and language !

  • I agree with savita1926: The Parsis are Iranian (as even their name indicates). When I first studied the Queen and their music, I thought Freddie was a dark-skinned Caucasian. No offence but that was what I thought. I didn't know that India could produce such prodigious talent. Anyway, the famed Arabic numbers we use now are actually originating from India and should be called Indian numbers. I don't know but could be right...

  • wow thats quiet racist..

  • Such a family man

  • Happy Birthday Freddie...R.I.P.

  • Freddie...had a unique voice...and queens music was unique......of...alll ...rock music and band of rock music ....queen and freddie is unbeatable

  • man, freddie mercury is a god of rock, his voice is one in a million, he changed music, and his songs and messages will be forever remembered, he is the best, queen rocks!

  • Alot of muscians were also really good at art

    Kanye West

    Michael Jackson

    Joni Mitchell

Ne Yo. I guess the creative mind goes two ways. I never knew he was good at art as well.

  • Kanye West is human filth. He doesn't deserve to breathe and is a waste of space on earth.

  • @mattisimisdorsi what's the poing of bringing Kanye West in this? And why exactly Kanye, why not for example... Bieber?

  • @hidetheweeeed GAHH FUCK IT!! i was reaaaaaaaaalllyyy hoping no one wud mention him, but u had to go ahead and do it!

  • @junaids23 hee hee :D

  • was there something freddie couldnt do? lol

  • Yes. He couldn't stay around as long as we all would have liked.

  • not funny

  • he was asking...

  • his sister looks so much like him

  • You bastards! Never mess with Freddie's hair!

  • lol

  • This is great ! Thanks

  • is there anyone in his family NOT alive and well?

    damn.

  • Just imagine what they are thinking when Freddie got famous,"Damn,we were bullying a rock legend..."*Bang*!!!

  • Never touch a Queens hair!!!!

  • those losers that wer bullying freddy are probably kicking them selfs in the back of the head...i dont think they knew they wer bullying the greatest rock and roll singer of all time

  • Good documentary

  • The sister looks like him!

  • the story about the boxing made me cry...it is so sad, and his childhood is fascinating!

  • I wish I'd have been there when those little bastards were bullying Freddie I would've smacked them all

  • Smack?

Thats pretty pussy of ya I would fucking Knock em out untill they almost die

  • Good documentary...

What I don't understand is that around 1:40, he says that it's April 10th, 1961. By 1961 he would be atleast 18 years old and he wouldn't be talking in a pre-teen child's voice.

  • he was born in 1946 so in 1961 he was 15 years old.

  • The song is a Freddie Mercury Song - There Must Be More To Life Than This from the album Mr. Bad Guy.

  • isn´t a duet with Michael Jackson?

  • What's the song in the beginning until 0:07?

  • This song's called "Guide Me Home" and it's from the Barcelona album.

  • i honestly had no idea this was his childhood. Its Amazing to know.

  • Thankyou thankyou thankyou oberon for posting this !

  • ~~excellent documentary~~ on a gifted individual.

  • kindly tell me where i could find the story re:innuendoes.thanks

  • auntie discovered his talents !

  • Dear Oberon: Thank you very much for the videos and the story of Freddy's life.I've trully enjoyed it. It has touched me deeply.Good job! Thanks again:)

  • What's the song called around 6:15?

  • More To Life Than This

  • This seems to be the untold True story about Freddie Mercury with an emphasis put on his childhood. I'm sure, nobody has never knew about it. There were so many ill-wishers who threw mud and slandered him so bad, but noone could not stop him even his death, and validity has triumphed at last! Thanks to creators of this great film! He will live forever!

  • damn we have the same reaction when we get mad with someone im cutting my hair i got a long hair before when i started argue with my cousin i dont know for some reason i decided to go in barbershop to cut my hair..

  • his trully gifted since he was a child very amazing story of his life.. he will never be forgotten..

  • No wonder that he tried to hide his private life away from public. We've enjoyed him on the stage, now we enjoy listening to his records and watching for his way of life. I think that's the way it has to be. You can put your thumb down if you disagree ))

  • PLEASE, ANYBODY TELL ME, what the song is playing from 5:40 ???

    I need to know!

    Thank you!

    Thank you for the video!!!!!

  • is "there must be more in life than this " how's appear on freddie's album "mr bad guy "

  • thanx!(^^)

  • Hello, well the song's name is THERE MUST BE MORE TO LIFE THAN THIS. It was from the Freddie's album Mr. Bad Guy. I hope you enjoy it

  • Thanks alot!^^

Of course I like that song!

I like to play and sing it!

  • "There Must be More to Life Than This."

  • It looks like Michael Jordan did copy the famous Freddie's position !! (joke)

Thank you Oberon1966 for posting all those videos. Freddie's life is as amazing as his voice !!

  • this is great :)

  • wads the song at 5;51? damn nice

    pls tell me

  • There must be more to life than this.. solo recording from the 1984 solo album Mr. bad Guy.

  • Why can't everyone just shut up and quit picking the mans life to pieces!? For once I would like to see some comments that matter. Like one's that say what a great man he was, how talented he was or what a lover of life he was. Grow up people!

    RIP Freddie!

  • He was English for me. He lived most of he's life in England talk English etc. He was born in Zanzibar and later lived for a while in India. BUT THERES NOTHINF ABOUT PERSIA HERE IDIOTS

  • Just because it is book doesn't make it reliable. I would think twice about buying into too much of their information - the website just doesn't seem reliable, spelling mistakes, no imprint, format, layout etc.

  • Also I believe{if not mistaken} that Freddie was raped during the scene where the bullies ganged up on him. This was all mentioned in the book INNUENDOES. You can buy the book on the internet. There's a website dedicated to this book. check it out. I have the book. It will blow you away. There's alot unmentioned in this documentary, and some that is. Queen has the book's website posted as a link on their official website, too. The remaining members of Queen already have read the book.

  • His own people won't even recognize his birthday because they say he was sexually immoral. But their own people raped him while he was in that boarding school. Held him down against his will. So what were they? Practice what you preach or shut up!! Right?

  • Where did you hear he got raped?

    ...i could have missed something...

  • In the Book I mentioned called Innuendoes. Look it up on the Internet. I cannot post the web URL because You Tube won't let me do so. But look it up. Innuendoes. There's a whole website on the book. Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. Innuendoes is a book all about Queen & Freddie Mercury and the full concept of their music. This Documentary is very good. But underneith the surface is more to the story. Like the rapes, and Freddie's religeos beliefs,etc...

  • check your facts and then say "his own people", dude...Freddie Mercury was born in Zanzibar but was Indian in origin and educated in India (so whatever may have happened to him at school happened in India), and he isn't shunned there...people love Queen and their music...doubt many know that he was actually Indian though

  • If you really want to get THAT technical then why are you ashamed to say he was Persian rather than Indian.

  • You guys getting in stupid argument. This is due to your lack of knowledge in India's history.

Iran was a persian and zorostrin country. Iran was invaded by arabs and islamized by arabs. Some zorostrian left Iran to sought religios freedom and landed on coast of Gujarat. They exceled in business during British Raj and british also appointed parsis in their government.

So Parsis are Indian of Iranian desent. Hope that makes clear.

  • "his own people"? He isn't shunned in India, where he would be technically from...only perhaps in Zanzibar which is a Muslim country...but he wasn't Muslim, he was Parsee

  • Fredy was Farsi by ethenicity of India origin. There are lots of pharsi in Maharastra and Gujarat. Pharsis exceled in business during british time. Most parsis speak Gujarati, this is because parsis were persicuted in Iran by muslim invader, as a result they migrated via ships and landed in Gujarat coast and sought refuge.

  • i feel very sorry for Freddie for growing up without his mother being there through the most important part of his childhood. now i understand why he became who he was. so sad. every child should be able to grow up with their family.

  • what freddie is singing at 0:54 are the opening lines of Mustapha (from the album jazz if i'm not mistaken)

  • Mustapha is a Prayer to Allah. Which Allah is their native tongue for GOD. There's only one GOD. But there's more than one native tongue. The Chinese people call GOD BUDDAH. But that doesn't mean it isn't the same GOD we pray to. There's only one. Native Americans call GOD Wanka-Tanka Which simply means The Great Spirit. Or The Creator. Either way. It's all the same. Read Innuendoes the book.

  • weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerfggggdvfrtyvruygtniuyertnitkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkktnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • just kidding you:P

  • what is the song at about the 5 minute mark? it's beautiful!

  • The song is "There Must Be More To Life Then This"

  • Forever remember and never forgotten.

  • who is freddie mercury:S never´heard the name:S

  • lead singer of Queen, a brilliant man

  • that's impossible.

  • huh?!

  • those clown who messed with freddie no one knows their names. But freddie everyone knows his name.

  • He was such a sensible child.LOVE YOU FREDDIE!
