Ben Browder would be awesome for this roll! Too bad Tom Cruise is in talks. I'm tired of seeing the same old actors and the really good ones not being casted.
...and despite your efforts, of all the suitable actors out there, they went for Tom Cruise, who doesn't even look the part...What do you have to say to that? Can you possibly picture Tom as Jack? Because I really can't.
I think Ben will be wonderful anything he does. But i could be a little biase!! Ben now does not look his age. I believe he hides it well. And to see him as a spy. Something a little different then what we're use to seeing him do. Would be exciting, dangerous and maybe just a little bit sexy!!!!!
@Torterra, there are plenty of books where Reacher is a younger man. Further, Reacher ages throughout the novels, so it would only be appropriate for his initial portrayal to be young.
In the book Die Trying it mentions that he looks like he's in his fourties so they'd have to get a guy a bit older and someone who has that cold, tougher but good look to him. Ben is too much a pretty boy and looks too young for the part.
reacher novels are the best! i would like to see one of them in a movie but nothing will ever compare to listening to it on audio book. for some reason dick hill makes it come alive and im completely submersed in the story and suspense i love it!
I thought this sucked , but there's another video of Ben Browder playing an Iraq veteran and in that , he kinda looks the part . But in reality , I'm not sure anyone could play Jack Reacher . . . A young Clint Eastwood , maybe ?
This guy is Jack Reacher. Icy blue eyes, scary smile, intimitation, muscle, dangerous arua, and sexy as hell. Only problem, he's 4 inches too short. Reacher is 6'5 and weighs 250 lbs of hard muscle. He towers over almost everyone. Unfortunately Ben Browder is only 6'1. And when is Hollywood gonna bring Jack to the screen?! Lee Child dominates the New York best sellers list. It's about time his creation comes alive for all of us fans!!!

while i have no comment to make on this actor I really think that One Shot is a poor choice for the first Reacher movie. Personally I think they should start with Die Trying. Nothing against One Shot, it is excellent, but it's a little slow. Die Trying has enough action in it to really hook new fans. I have a feeling that unless they butcher the story, one shot will only attract previous Reacher fans. Does anyone agree?

I think Damian Lewis would make a good Reacher. His not a pretty boy, and needs to bulk up, but could pull it off. (he played captain winters in Band of Brothers). What does anyone else think?
This flick is going to Rock, Jack Reacher is the best fiction Bad Ass ever created. Lee Child is a great writer and I have read every one of the Jack Reacher Series to include Gone Tomorrow. Can't wait to see this movie, Go Lee Child!!

while i have no comment to make on this actor I really think that One Shot is a poor choice for the first Reacher movie. Personally I think they should start with Die Trying. Nothing against One Shot, it is excellent, but it's a little slow. Die Trying has enough action in it to really hook new fans. I have a feeling that unless they butcher the story, one shot will only attract previous Reacher fans. Does anyone agree?
