Beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous... Does Talviuni mean Winter Dream? I know very little Finnish but I know talvi = winter and unia = dream.

@WynterSong Thanks! Yeah "Winter Dream" is the straight translation, but it doesn't quite capture the whole meaning. But I can't really come up with a better translation.

I just learned about the kantele a couple of weeks ago and I am interested. I'm working on building one and I'm not sure if I want open back or closed with a sound hole.

Thank you very much! It's an open back one, I bought it from the local music store for 150 euros. I've never tried a closed one so I can't really say which one is better.
