We must be the type "Justin Bieber"-_-

  • One of the most talented, if not, good looking vocal groups of all time! Frankie and The Teenagers, definitely blazed the trail, for nearly every, all-male/female vocal group , the followed; from the Jackson 5, The Supremes, The Ronnettes, New Edition, The Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Destiny's Child and En Vogue!

  • Frankie Lymon b. \30 September 1942, Harlem, New York City, New York, USA

    d. 28 February 1968, New York City, New York, USA (heroin overdose)

Only 26 years old.Wrote "Why Do Fools Fall in Love" in 1955.

  • Frankie had such unique facial features.

  • Frankie before the drugs were in his body....so innocent. A lot of high school kids had fun with that song back in the day.

  • But still remember this was used to be called POP. Great song thought.

  • @buddacafe im sorry but you can NOT compare this to lil wayne singing and raping arent the same thing and at the end of the day 366,973 views compared to lil waynes songs its not hard to see whos better

  • Man!!!!

This is like the original Michael Jackson!

    Wow! That's talent!

  • This guy was actually a womanizer.

  • he sings the truth!I've been wondering why fools like Ur parents fall in love?!?!?!and how old was he in this song anyway?

  • thumbs up if mafia 2 brought you here!

  • R.I.P. Frankie L.

  • ahahaha yeah i first herd diss song on mafia 2 lols

  • Everytime I hear this song I start snapping my fingers and singing along to it. People look at me and laugh or they think I'm crazy. I don't care because this song just gets me out of myself for a few minutes.

  • music videos sure changed from classy to nasty....i wish i had a time machine...id never be in 2011...id be everywhere between the 50s and the 90s....and guess what im only 24!

  • I'm 17 years old and I remember spending everyday at my grandparent's house during the say while my parents worked. I was literally raised listening to this music. Simply breath, especially when compared to today's music.

  • this song is so awesome XD

  • whts year is this video ?

  • @b0rderbr0ther22 This was in 1956.

  • lets see justin bieber do this at 13

  • @ozrox30 Don't swear.

  • @hersheskiss I understand the fact that Elvis was white, but what I don't understand is why people like him so much. As far as I'm concerned, he was a thief. I honestly don't see anything in him that I would like as a singer. I see Elvis being white the reason why Frankie's version of "Jailhouse Rock" wasn't a hit. I like Frankie's version a lot more than the original.

  • oh wow, Elvis stole this song, come on man be creative, rather than steal songs from people.

  • @hersheskiss You might wanna go back in time, Elvis is dead, kid.

  • @VinzZissou78 know shit, im just say'n

  • @hersheskiss Elvis stole this, so Frankie decided to steal "Jailhouse Rock" and he did it a whole lot better.

  • @MsTruthFinder101 the only reason why it was ''so much better'' because Elvis is white, that's the truth and you know it too, hu? he's not creative, soooo... he had no choice.

  • How the fuck did we go from this to Lil Wayne?

  • @buddacafe uuuum shut the fuck up clown its called evolution dick beam

  • @youngghostmack10 Evolution? Do you even know what that word means?

  • @buddacafe

Blame the Industry Big Wigs for this, they never were much interested in the art, just the money.

When something new came along they promoted it and dumped their current artist as passed it's time.

  • @buddacafe real shit......

  • @buddacafe it took time and effort

  • @buddacafe lol I dont even know what to say to this other than A-FUCKIN-MEN. This is music and just imagine when it came out....this was "Lil Wayne" .....wonder what our grandkids will be listening to in 50 years?...

  • @buddacafe Too much money Too much freedom

  • You know what I loved about the performers of the 50's-70's?

Not only did they have pure talent and sound great (both solos and groups)... but they also had a capacity for showing true character while they're performing. I mean, they didn't show their nerves, unless the song specifically called for it to be part of the act.

They didn't rely on stage gimmicks. They were singing a genuinely enjoyable song for the audience and even the performers themselves were truly immersed in the song.

  • I say that 50's fashion looks better then seventies just compare this to the jackson 5 O.O

  • One of the most talented peformers of all time.

  • I did't know the song really until I saw the movie

  • man i wish i was alive whem this kind of music came out

  • @diomondish same here.

  • They are like the 50's version of the Jackson 5.

  • @xShad0wGhostx Actually, when the Jackson 5 first went to record, the producer said "Oh look, it's Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers all over again."

  • Frankie Lymon was getting more tail than Frank Sinatra when he was 14!!!

  • thumbs up if you heard it in music class

  • Listen to the background harmony - Isn't it great!

  • i love the movie as well .... this is music here

  • i LOVE this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • Cool old video! The 8 people at the bottom rated this " Dis I Like!! "

  • how old was he in this video?

  • @xcolonelxturtle

...back then they were still controlled! lol ;)

  • @xcolonelxturtle ....well thats exactly how you sound...what are you trying to say? you wish music was still like this or black people...that dont even make sense...black people are still black idiot...music has changed over the years

  • @xcolonelxturtle

Agreed. Now all a majority of black people do is perpetuate slave stereotypes. I'm half black btw. =P

  • @xcolonelxturtle LIKE WHAT!!!!!!!!

  • @chocolatecity1921 good music

  • @xcolonelxturtle why u mad

  • @xcolonelxturtle well when we were like this we were getting beat up and hated on. and whites didint appreciate it , so why should we go back to this? I think now your people are more afraid at least now you can leave us the hell alone.

  • @remedave yep my husband said the same thing aloud when he read xcolonelxturtles comment

  • @xcolonelxturtle

    I'm black and I totally agree :)

  • @saffieyz . . .I am too, but what is it you actually agree with?

  • @slimdudeDJC

that i wish that black people and black entertainment stayed like this, where artists sang and danced with style and class. obviously some out there still do, but the majority are just hip hop thugs, with booty boucin chicks

  • @saffieyz Well, I would have to say you're looking at the wrong channel, dude(I'm thinking you're a guy. Correct me if I'm wrong) Most entertainers, black or otherwise, are pretty well-to-do socially. I don't see many of them showing "all they are" before the public. The ones that don't care are, well, mal-adjusted. But let's consider "some" of the rock types, for a minute. Every other white rock star in the past has made bad publicity for one reason or another.

  • @slimdudeDJC I'm a girl by the way hehe :) well you had a 50/50 chance lol.

Yeh I totally get what you're saying, but the way I see it, I expect more from our black family, seeing as we were once kings and queens. From what I see, the most successful and recognised artists are far from showing their royal heritage. I wish they did show that side to them.

  • @saffieyz That's interesting. All of Africa couldn't have been royalty. Someone had to rule over someone else. I would conclude most were "commoners." But personally, I don't cling to the monarhcy as closely as others of the consciousness do. Monarchs aren't necessarily scientific, creative or industrious. They are just rulers, pointers of fingers if you will. That's why Britian's populace clash. Some feel a prime minister is good enough. I feel the same concerning the presidency.

  • @saffieyz But I understand your sentiment. It's about carrying yourself in an upstanding way whether you're a ditch-digger or a senator. MLK said be the best whatever you are that you can be. It's not so much in the royalty but in the notariety. A good name or reputation is better than riches and gold. And anybody can have that, king or commoner. But it depends on the individual.
