@playnerd put it in a computer, back up all your data and format the sd card. if it doesn't read in the computer you need to format it.

the galaxy s is an iphone rip off. HTC at least made his own design and didn't steal it from apple. I personally think the desire isn't ugly. Can't say that about the galaxy s though... The X10 looks a lot better!

Can you help me as I want to buy this HTC Desire:

1. Does the HTC Desire have the same animated weather as HTC HD2 (e.g. raindrops effect dripping from the screen)

2. Does the Desire support high resolutions image files higher than what the camera can take (e.g. a 6000x6000 .jpg )

3. Could you test a fully tagged mp3 that has an id3 tag "Publisher" and see if that tag displays in the music player's 'Properties' window

4. Test these files- .mht, .flv, a 720p mp4

for photos it takes 2592x1552 and for video it is 800x480.

the not too sure about the .mht. don't think it supports .flv and i am going to try test 720p mp4 and get back to you

@brawlpro1 they use UK pounds but if your looking to buy it it you can use Clove or expansys but i think 3G wont work in your country.

Everyone does some great reviews on all the fantastic gadgets on all these smart phones and I take my hat off for taking the time to post these reviews but there seems to be a lack of information as to whether the phone has good reception or issues and if it works well as a phone could you please include this in your reviews.

@pw434 no it can't record in hd, however it is capable of doing it. I think HTC are going to release a firmware update that will enable it to record in hd.

no it only supports .3gp, .3g2, .mp4, .wmv

unfortunately it doesn't go in landscape in the music player

I played with one of these at the Gadget Show today on the Expansys stand. It is an amazing device and makes the iPhone look very last year... (in fact read the year before). The screen is in a different league, its lightning fast and looking forward to getting it on the 14th April - pending them not delaying the launch yet again. Don't even think about the Sony X10 - this buries it. (I had one for 2 days, I would run out of space to list the critisism).

However you can easily find a converter and convert them into mp4 format.

No, it can't since it's an optical trackball, so it wouldn't work while the LED is blinking but HTC has put an extra LED in the black space above the Display for charging controll and notifications.

yo 1st of all bone thugs good taste ;) and also i get this when they decide 2 deliver it to me whats taking long.... but when u pinch 2 zoom n it corrects it so can read writing better can u take that option off and just zoom up as u would cos looks bit laggy even tho its not it just correcting it and dont want people cheifing my phone by seeing that happen lmao
