i did mention that the British were wrong as well and yes war was the last thing the Americans wanted. How ever George washington wasn't happy that he couldnt have lands that the British had given over to the Indians. niether side was good or bad, for the most part it was brother vs brother men who had fought together as comrades in Canada were now on oppisite sides.

they Indepandace war war is a complicated thing it could have been avoided. it was a combination of greed from men like George Washington who hated paying taxes. British ignorance and often unfair treatment of the Americans. the funny thing is that we got sick of the war we still held on the Bosten and other ports. In the end it wasnt worth the money fighting and with the french as well we would only end up fighting on two fronts.

When france america and all her other allies had won the battle for Independance America tried to take canada two times which i have read about, once by land which ended up with a British fort of around 100 men holding off the entire American army while the British army marched around to Washington and burnt it to the ground and then the 2nd time by sea but im not exactly sure on that one.

in retrospect, The British were hardly defeated, they just put their resources elsewere, It was the french to in total won the war for the American Rebels at the time, Keep in mind better part of Americans farmers etc remained loyal to the crown ^^
