  • JOHNNY! STOP BEATING YOUR WOOD!

  • you do like to punch, don't you. lol

  • @oliversirian

hate to break it to you man, but MW2 can run on the shittiest computer; it's not a demanding game. Crysis, on the other hand, has been killing PC's around the globe for 3 years now. MW2's graphics pail far in comparison with Crysis's.

  • you guys i really need to know something! macbook air can take call of duty mw2 without any lag right? and macbook pro is much better than air so it can easily take games like crysis and stuff right?. soo i was wondering if i should buy a macbook pro or a mac air for gaming instead of a PC some1 please repeat. thanks :)

  • It's so annoying when kids always ask " here are my specs: (whatever) can i play crysis? It is a comment in 80% of crysis videos. Go to willitrun and see instead.

  • your stupid this a alienware com...stupid...cant u see the start key at bottom left of screen......light up key board.............mac is gay

  • @Biohazardpiano2010 You can have windows on a mac retard.

    Memory- 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

    NVIDIA GeForce 9400 M

Hard Disk Memory- 40 GB and on the other HDrive 21 GB

Will it run Crysis and Crysis Warhead?

    Please respond

  • i have a macbook, will it work on these specs?

    Processor: 2.4GHz IntelCore Duo

    Memory: 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SdRAM

    please answer

  • Yes it will , look at his specs and compare it yours , your specs are higher.

  • Just thought I'd share this with you guys. I have two computers. One is a mac mini 2.26 core 2 duo, 2gb ram, 256 mb shared memory for video. The other is a pc running vista, amd64 3ghz, 4gig ram, 512 9600gt vid. I have two games that I like to run on both computers, warcraft and warhammer.

The mac mini not only boots faster than my tower but it also loads both games faster.

  • @Thinkify1

it´s becuase many computers might look fast specvise but isn´t in real life, building a pc, will result in very good real life performance and a lot of bang for the buck

  • is this macbook pro with 512GT graphic

plz reply back coz I need the feedback really badly

    and I don't have 512GT graphic card

    I have only nVidia 9400m

    2.53 model

can I play this game in my macbook pro?

  • PC: Hey Mac.

Mac: Hey PC, what are you up to?

PC: Oh, im just playing some games.

    Mac: What games?

    PC: All of them.

    Mac: Oh...

  • i am a mac user

and i think this was funny :p haha

but on the other hand, i play CoD4, CoD2, CoD, modern warfare 2 NFS:Undercover, Prince of Persia 4, Borderlands, Fallout 3, Bioshock, Prey, AoE3 ; and these are all good games ;) just sayin'

  • Yeah Macs aren't bad. Their better for the multimedia stuff. But for gaming, ill go with a PC.

  • @Jak3Mac You must be kidding! I am a PC but I have been using a Mac for a year now and with the updated i5/i7 quad processor, it is a much better experience. The graphics look more crisp due to the fact mac computers use led displays, so, the colors are more vivid. The blacks are blacks, the whites are whites, the blues are blues, etc. Now don't get me wrong, I love my PC but when it comes to graphics, smoothness, rendering. Mac wins. And I am talking about in terms of laptop usage

  • Lol. You don't know much about computers.

I have an i7 in my PC. My two 2gb dedicated video card process my graphics. And my 2 monitors are LED. Not only macs can have led monitors you know. Depends on what you buy.

Macs are good for editing and being white. Not much else.

  • @Jak3Mac

This is the early 2006 macbook pro here. the new macbookpro are very fast. there faster than my gaming desktop (core 2 duo 3.0GHz, 4GB ram and 9800gt 1GB). it's really about price, a gaming desktop will cost a 1/4 of the price with the same performance. and at the same price a gaming desktop would obliterate any laptop performance wise. BTW before someone has a go at me and shows me the m14x I would also add the macbook pros may be twice the price but they also have twice the battery.

  • I dont understand how anyone could buy a 2500 dollar Mac with HD6750 graphics. Not horrible, buy you can build a much better gaming pc for that money.

  • @Jak3Mac

I would like to see you pull your gaming desktop out of your backpack put it on a school desk and use it for 7 hours without any power points. the reason mac cost so much is they're battery. if you are out and moving around a lot then a small laptop with good graphics, battery and screen is important. and the 6750m is is reasonably fast, as I said it beats my desktop 1GB 9800GT (I know it's an old card now but think about it. in 3 years they will be the same as a gtx 580)

  • @Jak3Mac because no body buys mac for gaming

  • Exactly

  • Comment removed

  • @SketchySkeptic

read my comment more carefully. I said it was faster than my DESKTOP with core 2 duo 3.0GHz and 9800gt, I never said it had a 3.0GHz processor (but for the record the 2008 model had a 2.9ghz core 2 duo)

  • @ThaxFuckingxPrince where did you get fallout 3 for mac??

  • @lukoutube @ thepiratebay .dot. org

  • @ThaxFuckingxPrince thks i get it, its a shame, its online in torrent :(

  • @ThaxFuckingxPrince

Only good games mentioned there are Fallout 3, Borderlands, and Bioshock. Rest suck cock.

  • @ThaxFuckingxPrince you play all that games onn a mac?

  • @servandovill yes i do

  • @ThaxFuckingxPrince hey! give me the links for borderlands , prince of persia 4 and fallout 3 pls!!

  • @servandovill you can find them at thepiratebay doooot org :) or just google them.. you will find them

  • Mac: Hey PC,

    PC: Ohhh, hy...

Mac: What are you up to?

PC: I have my daily bluescreen.

    Mac. Whats that?

    PC: I dont know...

    Mac: Oh...

  • Ha..

  • does crysis work on macbook original?

  • no must have boot camp

  • wow, you need to play more.

  • change the title! In the description you mention that your running it on xp, but the title says Crysis on mac.

  • lol hockey, u can put windows xp on a macbook btw using a free program called boot camp

  • Ya, there is always the chance that the hard drive was partitioned for both operating systems. I didn't think about that being the case.

  • it IS on a Mac. Its a Macbook Pro. He is running Windows XP on his Mac. So, this proves you CAN run games on your Mac.

  • @Soulgrind025

Yes, but Mac is an operating system. I've got Linux, xp, and 7 on my computer, if I booted up xp and ran Crysis I wouldn't say I was running it on a Linux machine.

  • People always complain they cant play games on a Mac. When you buy a Mac, it comes with Mac OS. So, it makes it a Mac Machine. You can load pretty much whatever you want. Just cause you put a Lexus Emblem on a Ford Pinto, with some rims, and a sound system doesnt mean youre driving a Lexus. Its still a POS Ford Pinto. All they were trying to prove is that you CAN indeed play PC games on a Mac Computer. But I do completely understand your logic.

  • on Windows OS. You can't run it with just MAC OS and hardware (the Graphics card is ATI and the processor Intel). Anything that you can put Windows OS on and that can run the game.

  • And another thing, Macs and PCs cannot be compared, a Mac is a Brand name computer. Windows is an OS that is sold to companies, and the companies make the hardware. You are comparing a computer to an operating system, Try comparing a mac to an equivalent HP, or try comparing Vista and OSX, its not fair to you to do anything different.

  • Actually, I don't compare anything. It's "mac users" (a mix between a football fan and a nerd), that constantly make this "Mac vs PC" parroting corporate propaganda.

Macs are personal computers (as opposed to government mainframes), and therefore are PCs. Microsoft would be perfectly justified running every single ad of theirs on a MacBook Pro, because it is PC Software.

And any HP or Dell, could run OSX, were it not for Apple intentionally locking it only to its own hardware.

  • You can compare Macs and PCs.

By PC, they mean any non-Apple PC (the irony is killing me)

The only time I'd get an Apple PC is if it was a Laptop.

  • So, saying Mac is a brand name is like saying a Dell isnt a windows machine, and that Dell is its own entity. Mac has its own OS. Where Mac comes out ahead is this... they get involved with the OS, AND the hardware. Everything is made to work right with each other. Thats why windows has so many problems. The software and the hardware are made my 3rd party developers and are not made to be completely compatible and problem free.

  • The good part about this is that each one can make the best part that they're good at making. Sort of like when making a videogame. One team focuses on visual design, the other programming (software engineering), the other sound, etc. etc. Each one puts their talents/strengths to use.

  • p.s... But they are made to the best compatability available at the moment. That's why there're updates.

  • And another thing... This system is using an ATI graphics card and an Intel processor which is not made by mac (on the description).

  • Youre right - Apple doesnt make those processors, but, they know what works. Same goes for Dell, or HP, or whatever. But, Intel DOES come on Macs. And you can get a graphics card put into the computer. You can still add and upgrade a Mac.

  • Yes. If you want to go with gaming, notebooks: Alienware, Desktop: build your own.

  • Acutally notebooks: Alienware, if you find a part (processor, RAM, etc.) for less than having it build with that part, then buy that Alienware with that option at the least and then buy that part seperately and then upgrade it yourself. I did that with mine (a little bit older m15x). I found the processor (Intel X9000) for $400 on ebay and it was $900 to upgrade to that, so I just bought it with the base processor and upgraded it later. Same thing with the Hard Drive and RAM.

  • Ironically, Mac owners can never win the "PC vs. Mac" debate, at least as far as gaming goes. For example, in order to get crysis to run, this guy had to emulate windows, thus turning his mac into a PC. But Mac still has its attributes, just like any OS. It just can't game for shit.

  • He didn't "turn his mac into a pc", he used one of the brilliant features of the mac (bootcamp most likely) to bypass any limitation that the mac might have. He still has a mac, and it runs windows too. Can a PC run both? no. I win.

  • assuming anyone would want to emulate Mac. Why do people praise Apple for locking their products up so tight in user agreements that they don't allow other manufacturers to push their OS any further by integrating it with better hardware. Enjoy paying extra for not much... One more reason why Windows will always be 3 steps ahead of the game.

  • true but macs dont have viruses

  • macs dont have viruses, they have bugs. different term, same thing. its not impossible to create a virus on mac's format.

  • There is no better hardware than what Apple builds its computers of :D

  • oh, you sneaky little troll.... XD

  • Yes there is. You build it yourself.

Asus, Corsair, XFX and Antec are much more reliable brands than any of the things Apple builds from.

Plus with a PC you can get more up to date hardware years before it's available on a mac. (i7, GTX 295 etc.)

  • That doesn't stand up really, I wouldn't want to run OS X because windows can do everything that OS X can do anyway.

Your basically saying that your willing to spend huge amounts of money on an overpriced piece of hardware, then run Windows on it because it can't do everything you want from it.

  • Your not taking into account how much better OSX is than the whole windows bloatware. I was a windows user for years, and then I bought a mac and haven't looked back, which is what everyone who buys a mac does. People who don't like macs don't own macs.

  • Well, you see, there's your problem.

By saying that you have been a win user "for years", you automatically admit that you were so during a "past" period as opposed to a later one. Except that you fail to take into account the advances of technology. Of cource when you buy a "new" computer, it always feels faster because processors have moved on.

Take OSX, and compare it with Win7 on the SAME processor, and then we can talk.

  • Bloatware? That's probably because your buying a computer from HP or another OEM who load it with tosh you will never use.

And if you used it years ago, it hardly stands now. Windows 7 is easily the most advanced yet simple OS I have ever seen.

If I bought a mac I would look back, I would be running windows, staring into the hole in my wallet where Apple have screwed me.

  • The "Brilliant feature" is called dual (or more) partitioning, and you can have a PC run Win95.98.XP.Vista.7, 3 flavors of Linux, and a Hachintosh, all in the *same* machine, were you so retarded to do so. Not some magic knowledge.

The OSX, can run on PCs, except that Apple intentionally handicaps it.

Finally, all of you, get it through your idiotic heads.

    PC = PERSONAL COMPUTER.

Apple IS a PC, and Windows is an OS. Apple is just another hardware manufacturer, you can run OSes on.

  • He says he got a Mac Book Pro with the OS: Windows XP, does this works?

  • yes this works.

if you have the new macbook pro you can run bootcap and start up any windows that you own

  • Of course. All current intel macs can run windows XP and vista

  • bootcamp ?

  • lol

  • Oh my GOSH! Face the facts you guys! PC Has, and will, continue to be the most used computer for gaming. But now that Mac has it's chance to shine, everybodys whining about it. Mac isn't going to take the place of PC for gaming. But there's not harm in some compitition. Mac can run games, and pretty damn well to! but PC is still going to be the most used gaming computer. they both have their places, so stop arguing!

  • But Macs look amazing, Macs are making a comeback with any software can soon easily use 2 to 4 Core CPUs and 64bit and also introducing OpenCL (Universal CUDA for GMA\Radeon\GeForce)

  • WTF is opencl?

  • news flash faggot pc stands for personal computer and guess what? Apple make's them so a mac is a pc. The power pc days are over referring to apple's computers as mac's is stupid so I guess your dell laptop isn't a pc its a dell...

  • Well, news flash to you, I have a macbook, and people will always and still, continue to call dell's, PC's and call apples, Mac's. It's just easier.

  • People did call them Macs even before the PowerPC era, and these days it makes more sense than ever to refer to Apple's computers as "Macs" because they all have Mac in their name. And yes, a Mac can be a PC, but it's more than just a PC. (Dell on the other hand will never be a Mac.)

  • yeah it is very annoying all the people arguing about it i have both a gaming pc and a imac and soon mac book pro but my pc and mac are just as good for gaming but macs arent like pc where they make special ones for gaming because mac doesnt do that so realy they shouldnt even be compared because they are not used in the same way at all

  • LOL at 0:48 "Maximum Game" .. not on this computer.

  • my system has 2 GB Ram 667mhz ATI X1600 128MB OS: Windows Vista SP1 but the game wont go faster than 5-10 fps!!!!!!!!!

    DAMN!!!!!

  • maybe like... get a faster processor.

  • nah the prossesor is fine. it's that damn ati gfx card.

  • Yea man you need a Nvidia stop fucking around with those ATI fags. I learn that shit the hard way messing with there shit.

  • how do you install crysis on your mac? crossover games? i dont have any software yet, what is a good one? i just bought crysis maximum edition

  • He is running windows XP via bootcamp. Crossover games dosnt support directx 10 or most games, honestly i have used it, its rubbish.

  • Also this video runs and looks better than most of the Macs ive seen playing, which are usually set at 900X600 on low settings. This one Mac faggot actually said "settings dont matter" and proceeds to say- "who needs to play at 1024X768"- apparently thats a high resolution for Macs to game...

  • "apparently thats a high resolution for Macs to game..."

Look at the specs. This is a three year old Macbook Pro in the video. x1600 with 128mb of VRAM

    oops! Owned ya again!

  • at least if you're gonna fake a vid do it right.....minimum requirements are the minimum you need to run the game. it doesn't mean "this is what you need for smooth gameplay" its the BARE MINIMUM for playing the game. as in you're gonna get below 5fps on lowest res/details with that hardware, and ur gfx card is even worse than the minimum. you'd be getting less than 5 fps, not this.

  • are you kidding? I don't think this game would even start up on a 128MB GPU.

  • It'll run on a 128mb X1600 if set to medium.

And no, it will get higher frames that 5

Other than that, how would he have been able to make this video? That is clearly an early model Macbook Pro's backlit keyboard in the video.

Bare minimum for this game is a Geforce 6800 or ATI 9800, unless you're running vista, then you need a ATI X800. Those are the minimum.

  • Actually, "You 33 year old psycho path"- I knew you were scouring Youtube's Mac videos looking for me since the mindset of a bored pathetic lonely basement dweller is quite easy to stir. A few steps ahead of you...and it stings knowing you've been completely like the little Bitch you are. Im glad you aren't a PC guy- because your a horrible representation of anything you take part in. Your also quite immature for a 33 year old man who is old enough to be someones father fueling fights on youtube

  • Actually, wasn't looking for you, Colin. So don't flatter yourself. You're below worthless in my book.

I happened to come across you here, acting like a little bitch, talking behind my back.

"Your also quite immature for a 33 year old man who is old enough to be someones father fueling fights on youtube"

There are many people, older than me, here fighting on Youtube.

  • Also, just so you know, the comment that YOU replied to, wasn't even to you colin.

    It was to andyschannel17

Guess you owned yourself there bud.

  • Its quite funny how many comments you have left me from the time i started Ignoring your unimportant existence and stop replying to you to now. What kind of Adult talks to somebody over and over...and over...when they are being compeltely ignored?..."oops! Owned ya again!" again...very mature for a 33 year old adult...quite sad actually...still living with your parents and collecting social security all the while instigating fights online. Again, wasted time here talking to a Complete Loser. Bye

  • "What kind of Adult talks to somebody over and over...and over...when they are being compeltely ignored?"

Actually, all of my comments, to you, have been in response to something YOU said in open forum.

"still living with your parents and collecting social security all the while instigating fights online."

Nope, graphic artist with my own house that likes to correct ignoramuses like you.

I find it funny that you fish for insults when I own you. Either prove me worn or shut up.

  • "Either prove me worn or shut up."

I mean, Either prove me wrong or shut up.

Seriously, it takes me about five minutes to own you, son.

  • You're a graphics artist and you don't like Mac's? Wow.

  • I like Macs

    What are you talking about?

  • Also, I find it funny that you try to play the maturity card when you go on a anti-mac RAMPAGE after I simply own you with some facts.

Are you so weak that you can't take a little ownage?

Get better, stop bitching, move along

  • yeah you get sure 9 fps

  • wow, you're a troll

Crysis runs just fine on a Mac.

  • note that crysis have ultra settings as well if you put a confick data in a folder

  • I'm aware of that. But you need not run the game on ultra to play it.

  • why play on a mac? stupid computers if you ask me. they're way too over-priced and give you disgusting performance in comparison with high end pcs. Mac is just trying to be cool. Come to think of it, they don't make real computers. They just make creative machines.

  • its funny, i was saying the same thing and these Mac faggots start crying defending their over priced, what is essentially a relatively slow mid grade laptop slammed into a Mac Form factor and sold for a grand more, and yet these mac bitches like sc0pl355 is quite possibly the biggest Mac fanboi i have ever heard, youll run into him on one of these videos crying about how Macs own PC's in everything..

  • First off, Colin, I'm not saying anyone owns anything aside from me owning you.

Secondly, I find it interesting that you talk shit when I'm not around, yet run away like a little bitch when I show up.

It's good to see you pouring out your hurt feelings after all that own I handed you.

  • ironically, mac users love the 360 so much...

    retards

those with macbook pros/imacs and prefer xbox for gaming must be sent to a mental hospital

  • "those with macbook pros/imacs and prefer xbox for gaming must be sent to a mental hospital"

How about the fact that the Xbox 360 has a solid library of games and the PC gaming market is no longer getting the lion's share of decent titles? Possibly as a result of typically poor sales. Excluding a couple games of course.

I mean, even Crytek is planning to develop for the 360 and PS3.

  • haahhaha. just because people like macs means they can't enjoy microsoft products too? YOU sound like the pussy fanboy. BTW, I love my 360, but it is the most poorly made piece of hardware i've ever owned. Its the software that keeps it alive. I've been through 3.

  • Using Sony's AW series (top of the line and has almost identical specs with Macbook Pro), we get far better performance than this expensive paperweight.

  • I have a pc! and i see the diffrence..... really! my pc has a better config, actually a much better one than this but it doesnt work as well....

  • apple rulez!

  • No it doesnt. Look he is playing at a very shitty resolution 1024x768. Just get a PC so you can play this and you will see the difference.

  • dont mind him, hes upset because hes stuck in the past, get a grip, the windows/mac gap is coming to a close, everything works for everything now adays

  • Looks like it played alright to me. Why are you so angry that this guy wants to play Crysis on his Mac. You jealous?

  • Yes. i am really jealous playing crysis with GTX 295. I get 43fps at 2560x1600 resolution...

    apple finally get semi-relevant by adding intel i7 940 & 920 cpus.

What about the i7 965 extreme? don't like giving apple customers premium stuffs? well, most apple fan wouldn't know this anyway.

It's about time because us windows users enjoy the raw power of these cpus for 5 months already.

ATI 4870 is a nice addition for apple. 4870 x2 been out 8 months

DDR3 1066 is slow, us PC users has DDR3 2000.

  • You're right, Macs don't have an answer for the i7, or DDR3 2000. But how many people honestly are going to pay for a $1,000 processor. For the high end gaming market, you're right, PCs completely win. But that's not the market Apple is aiming for.

  • dude. apple charges $6,100 for 32gb of ram...you can get 6gb ddr3 1066mhz for $87. and $87x6 does not equal $6,100!

PC is not expensive compare to apple. i7 965 is $1k...yes, i940 cost $587. Apple chage additional of $2400 for 2 i940...

  • You don't have to buy RAM from Apple, you can buy 32gb of RAM from crucial for $1,200 (which I realize is still higher than 87*6 but it's better, haha).

  • guys shut the fuck up. no one needs 32gb of ram. vista rocks with 2gb. get a life.

  • games hardly even take advantage of DDR3 and an Core i7. Unless you're playing a game like supreme Commander or game at insane resolutions you'll see very little difference for the extra 200+$ you shelled out for bragging rights.

  • "DDR3 1066 is slow, us PC users has DDR3 2000"

You wouldn't even be able to tell the difference unless your looking at a benchmark print out. But to a human, you wouldn't be able to tell. Your points are irrelevant sir.

  • so you can't tell the difference in the performance at all?

like GTX 295 vs 4xGT 120 in mac?

    i7 965 vs i940 in mac?

    DDR3 2000mhz vs DDR3 1066mhz in mac?

my points are very relevant actually.

Windows PC support way more hardware than mac. That's the beauty of a windows pc. You can spend so little money building your own dream pc at 1/2 the price of vendors like ALIENWARE/DELL.

  • you can't crysis unless u have 8800/9800GTX SLI or 4870 x2 for laptop!

from what i am seeing. it's about 10fps or less. more like a powerpoint slide than a game. i see that all the quality put down to LOW and still horrible fps rate.

WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS VIDEO?

why would you buy a mac and install windows? i thought u mac ppl hate windows.

Please MAC fans, kiss goodbye to fun gaming life and go do some video editing. that's what mac is only good for.

  • how many FPS.......... yes i'm pc dont cry and swear at me... im just wondering..

  • Isn't it that 9600 fixed in Macbook Pro series ? How can you use 8800 ?

  • how did you do that? i mean download it on the mac?

  • you have to have boot camp on the mac and run windows on the mac then play crysis

  • no the is i mach mac and xp is on mac xD

  • its look like windows xp media centre to me..... or my eyes are wrong? its just the wallpaper which belongs to Mac OS X

  • Most likely using dual operating systems on the macbook, nothing new at all.

  • oh....me bad....

  • hhaha tu alemo hai il gioco in inglese io i russsssssssso!

  • ehh i can run this like the same on my sager np2096

  • Windows su un MAC?? Ma ho visto bene!?!?

Grazie che poi ci sono i coglioni che installano vista. MA CAPISCI LE NOZIONI BASE DELL'INFORMATICA ALMENO?????

  • I NEED THAT GAME, too bad it takes a shit load of power to run

  • if you have a 8800 gt (what i don't have) then you don't need to worry

  • i do have a 8800gt and i cant run the game at max settings because of my fucking processor! its a shitty pentium d, soon ill be upgrading to a quad core q6600

  • i am getting a pentium d 3.2 ghz i want a core 2 but i don't have money for that

  • that was teh same prob with me bro. but today i just bought a E8400 dual core cpu

and I swear to christ if it dosnt work with my

motherboard im gonna rip it to shreds

  • Certo che vedere windows su un mac fa abbastanza schifo

  • Did u put everything on highest? and what kind of Fps were u getting?

  • Hey, nice job getting it to run on that machine. I installed Vista Ultimate on mine (Direct X 10) and overclocked the GPU and I tweaked Vista a bit and it runs even better than XP especially since it does a much better job with lighting.

I have the 2.4 Ghz Mac though. Some of the settings can be set to very high though without sacrifice to speed. Crysis and MacBook Pro's are WICKED.

  • i played the demo on my imac and get good fps with the settings on high which is good for me and my resolution is 1300-768 or sumthing like that

  • Meh, ok FPS.

  • id rather buy a laptop for 600$ instead of paying 2000$ my laptop for 600$ will play crysis better than this peice of shit

  • Maybe, but the Mac has a built in program that helps you with your spelling.

  • Come on now numb416 ... I before E, except after C :) Remember?

  • Bootcamp is simply a hard drive splitter, nothing else, no fancy technology inside it - hence why it is free. You can get software which does exactly the same thing for other platforms, which are also free.

But for one moment, just to make you feel better, lets say it was an emulator. A computer runs using it's manufactuers BIOS settings. The emulator, which is self explanitory, emulates the BIOS of another system or platform. This proves it is not an emulator, as Windows BIOS is on CD.

  • Wrong.

Windows doesn't have a bios. The OS doesn't have a BIOS.

"Regular" IBM PC use a BIOS "system", Macs use EFI.

Windows doesn't support EFI. Maybe Windows 7 will.

Bootcamp emulates the BIOS, so makes it possible to use Windows.

Microsoft promised EFI support for Vista, but didn't deliver, like with many things ...

So PC users still have to see those funny bios screens from a 20 years old system. Yay!

  • you know BIOS runs on any computer system. i know i made a mistake saying windows had a BIOS lol, BIOS comes with a motherboard. Macs have a BIOS too, thats how you overclock things. Playstations have a BIOS, otherwise emulators for them wouldnt exist -(and they do)

who would want to run mac os on their windows anyway? lol

  • erm hello, that wasnt using Mac OS, you booted up Windows to run the game.

Mac still doesnt play games lol, sorry guys.

  • it's running on boot camp, which comes with leopard. noob.
