I didn't like this one so much not only did the Queen pronounce malpercio's name wrong but mizuti sounded horrible and got his line wrong. I don't get what you mean about them changing the voices tho, the ones in the game are GREAT!

Maybe this was the first version, but then they did the other one with the original voice actors for the game, and the other one is so much better. because it looks like this one is just like a test, and the other one is well done, the voice were good, I actually liked them a lot, and the other trailer with the correct voices has better dialogue, this one there is poor and doesn't make any sense, the other one is so much better, since it is very improved.

Ghibari's voice is pretty awesome. But I hate this Mizuti's voice. Not only that, I think Corellia pronounced Malpercio wrong xD

I loved the english voice actings! it gave a mysical opera poetic like feeling to the game, it was something new instead of the same voices in every other game it is always the same, this was brilliant...also I think these voices in this opening are those from the Japanese voice actors or in any case Japanese people doing the voices as an exemple to show the english voice actors...then again I could be totally wrong in any case I think the voices in this trailer suck...a lot.

Oh my, why did they have to change Lyude's voice?? It was WAY better in this version of the opening. They should have kept it for Xelha and Gibari too. Kalas sounds better in the game, as well as Savyna.

And honestly, Queen Corellia? I won't even try to understand what she says after 'cursed power'.

I've wanted to play this game ever since I first saw this trailer back in 2004, but after watching the true into to the game in another video on here, I couldn't believe they changed the voices! :O They don't sound anywhere near as epic as these voices. These voices are much better and much more suited to the game. If I ever pick up a copy now I'll be sure to turn the voices of. Seriously Namco!

Now that I see this I think to myself: This was such a great game, had they followed through with the original voices it would have been EPIC! (to put it in your words :P)

and IMO I think this game would have become really popular (like FF) and sold so much more if its cut-scenes had graphics like the ones in this trailer.

The game is okay. My least favorite voice has to be Xelha. Her character is so good, but the way she speaks is half the time off what's happening. I love the storyline. The bad thing is that the game needs a better "Escape". Battles are very time consuming.

Well, I actually prefer Mizuti's voice as done in the game, and I'm neutral on Kalas (his voice works in this trailer, but so does the abrasive voice he has in the game).

Everything else, actual vocal quality to the acting, makes me wonder what happened. With these voices, I might have played through the whole game with the voices turned on. I listen to Lyude and Gibari in this trailer, and I weep tears of joy...

Eh.. I'm kind of neutral between this and the new one. Though I like Corelia's voice better for some reason. I like Xhella's a lot better than her high-pitched current one. But I don't like Mizuti's in this video at all.. No big deal to me. I've gotten used to all the character's voices the way they are.

In terms of gameplay, this game is very, very, good.

In terms of story, it's alright, the characters are a bit cliched and dull, but the story has some appealing aspects and several plot twists that you really won't see coming.

In terms of voice acting...the cast is terrible compared to this trailer.

In short, it's a good game that's worth the money, but I personally wouldn't call the best RPG ever.

Huh... oddly enough I saw this trailer numourous times, but now that I see it after having played the game and watching the in-game intro over and over...the voices just sound so alien. I was surprised that they were so different. I can't really say if it's better or worse...it doesn't doesn't sound right to me...

Wow..I was wondering what the alternate trailer sounded like...Kalas sounds better in the other one, Xelha sounds more like a Savyna, Gibari doesn't sound that bad, Lyude's voice is better, Savyna...scares me a little...and Mizuti...oh my god, my ears bled. No wait, on Melodia's horrible line they bled. It doesn't sound all that bad, though. :P

the reason that happened was cos the voice acting had to be compressed onto such small gamecube discs, so the game voices sounded better after they were polished, but the synchronization got messed up ^^"

I don't think that's the case, since I noticed a similar problem ("boxy" voices) in Tales of Legendia for PS2, another game by Namco. Only in that game it was forgivable, since the voice acting was actually GOOD.

BUT! Mizuti, ARGH X__X His "old" voice sounds terrible! T.T The new one is cuter...much cuter! And Queen Corellia sounds...horrible...o__O And Geldoblame as well vv° Kalas....is a bit weak, too. When he's saying "Who cares?", it sounds in the new version more...energetic...more...powe­rful...all in all much better! >>;

Omg, there are others out there who ahve noticed it and made note of it. They did change ALL of the bloody voice acting cast for some lame amatuers. WTF were they thinking!!!! They sound like their talking from a phone box!!The game would've been so much more enjoyable and epic with these actors in this trailer. Why must stupidity prevail in this world? Xelha's voice was about 5 bazillion times more believable in the trailer... the VA in the game was like a joke. A sick, horrible, disgusting joke. I honestly can't imagine how it could have been worse if they had tried.

My game has something different. The characters sound different and say different things. I got the game when it was first released in the US. If you just got the game, Nintendo may have updated it with a new trailer. I just want the trailer that is on my game...I wish I knew how to rip certain parts of a game and put it on a computer...but I don't...:p :p

actually, i like the new one A LOT better, it's just that in the new one it sounds like the storyteller(old lady) is saying 'be what you've always dreamed to be' but it's supposed to be melodia. it's just that i played the game and watched the commercial before watching this, so this sounds weird to me,and some of the dialogue is different-- i thing the new voiced and dialogue are better

This dub is FAR better than the normal one. I agree with some people its better "Be what you want to be" is not as good as "Be what you've always dreamt to be!", but it doesn't make as much difference

me encanta este doblaje, me gusta mucho mas la voz de Kalas con su "Who cares!" *¬*, y la de Savyna, aunque del otro doblaje me gusta mas que se diga en la frase final: "Now, be what you've always dreamed to be!!", queda mas poetico que: "now, be what you want to be" xDDD
