I am beyond stoked that James is coming back! I also find it hella cool that he is gonna play Brainiac 5. I felt after watching Legion that there was a chance of the character appearing on the show, but I thought he be played by a different actor. So it is really cool that he gets to play 2 sides of the same coin.

You all do realize that he's coming back ONLY as Brainiac 5, right? Since he was extracted out of Chloe and taken to to the 31st century to be reprogrammed, instead he'll be Brainiac 5 in the milestone 200th episode "Homecoming", the 4th episode.

Interesting comments about science fiction and fantasy, functioning as a way to talk about things that other shows shy away from. I always thought that good fiction (books, TV, whatever) can play that role of separation, allowing us to examine ourselves from a point of safety.

@airygold That was a good answer by him. SciFi/Fantasy has been used like that for a long time now. The masses really took notice I think back when Star Trek first aired as it was completely obvious what was being done with the show. There wasn't any attempt to hide or disguise what was being done.
