  • legends :)

  • That move at 1:46 is cool, looks similar to a bent-over row. Like a harder version of an australian row since the legs aren't taking any weight but your torso is supine and the pull is horizantal.

  • Fantastic!! Thanks for the idea's..

  • Good work. You'll get lot stronger with this station, than with weights, don't you agree?

  • IM TRYING TO MAKE SOME PARALLEL BARS,,, ANY TIPS?

  • @bearsquad1 Dig them deep into the ground. And check out the link in the description for more info on how we built this set-up.

Not only have you shown me it is possible to build your own "Jungle Gym" but you two guys managed to show many varied exercises in such a short space of time.

I now know I am missing out with just my door ledge pull up bar and want to upgrade to something like your setup.

  • Sweet ! very nice design

  • @lphantman Thanks!

  • did u guys have to do any welding for this set up? What kinds of bolts did u use?

  • @tubinjpasc We didn't do any welding. The bars were fabricated by a local metal-smith. All the info on how this was built is in an article that can be accessed by clicking the link in the description.

  • @TheQuiksilvr Ha - actually neither Danny nor myself has ever done time. Not all tattooed people are criminals.

  • @alkavadlo

exactly, I am working on a full body suit and everyone still gives me looks like I am going to rob them.

Amazing abilities, I am going to build a pull up bar in my back yard (i have kettle bells, ropes, boxes, tires etc already.) Body weight exercises look easy but they are hellish.

    Cheers,

    Aristo

  • @TheGreatAristo Glad you liked the backyard pull-up bar! Good luck with your home gym (and your full body suit!).

  • Wow you guys are so awesome and charismatic and those feats of strength are just ridiculous! doesn't that thing you did at 2:04 defy the laws of physics? lol

  • @whyemceeay Laws of physics be damned - I do what I want! Thanks for your comment!

  • nice job man! I did the same to built my set up a while ago

  • @lukevinn Thanks! I just checked out some of your videos - you've got a great set-up!

  • Awesome work Al! That bar looks great!

  • @dawalli Thanks, Dawalli!

  • "Bing-Bong", next stop,... the top!! You guys rock with this set up. Great job, the setup looks real sturdy and you can even improve on it later. No excuses, now, get that $!!!!

  • @YTBT The Q train passes right through his yard. You like how you can hear it in that one shot, huh?

  • Very nice! Bars look thicker than the ones you train on in the park. The whole system is very sturdy, set deep into the ground, I bet it's got zero oscillation the way it is built, solid as a rock. How does the grip feel?

  • @djaponezu63 Yeah these bars are thick, which makes everything harder but also that will hopefully make us stronger! A lot of the details are discussed on my blog. The link is in the description.

  • @djaponezu63 Good lookin! It's a 2" grip, about 1/2" thicker than the park. And IT'S SOLID INDEED. Check out Al's blog for all the specifics.

  • Well done master Al & bro. :)

  • @Furiouslal Thanks!

  • Nice vid!

  • @Jaza120 Thank you!

  • woohooooo!!!

  • @michael88c Thanks, Michael!

  • sick! who needs a gym membership... i have a tree i use that has all kinds of limbs conducive to body weight exercises. Great vids as always!

  • @surfing222 Thanks! Danny's now got a lifetime membership at the best gym in the neighborhood - and it's right in his backyard!

  • This is Great!!!! Will be sharing.

  • @BarStarzz Thanks, Ed!

  • Great stuff! When I get a garden I'm flying you guys to London to build me one : )

  • @rubberritchie I like that idea, Ritchie!

  • That's really awesome. I want to build one now. Al, could you give a little more info on the building process, such as dimensions and materials used? Did you buy the bars at a hardware store?

  • @pharmacy4thewell I just added a link to my blog, where all those questions are answered. The link is in the description.

  • That's cool I'm gonna do that one day. You gonna build some dip bars too?

  • @82Bdog No immediate plans for parallel bars, but you never know.

  • That is pretty awesome! Could I get an estimation on how much it cost to build a backyard pull up bar just like that?

P.S. you two should have an arm wrestle haha

  • @WidjajaRyan All the info on how to make your own backyard pull-up bar can be found on my blog. I just added a link in the description.

  • @WidjajaRyan This bar came to about $500 for everything--that includes some tools like post-diggers. You couldn't get 6 months at a gym in NY for that! Thanks for watching.
