The general consensus is that he'd go to an offensive powerhouse like Detroit or Pittsburgh..

Well what people need to realize is it's not about how offensive or defensive the team is, it's who Naslund will be playing with. Gomez/Drury will beat Jaffray/Moran anyday of the week. It's about having fun again for Naslund. Plus, would you rather we see him 4 times a year in Detroit?

well gomez is good defensively, drury is a very important part of the PK, Blair Betts is aswell. I think all of their defenseman are also defensively responsible, maybe nt rozsival, we'll see how he plays this year. the rangers had the second lowest goals against in the east this year, 5th in the NHL so they were doing something right.

Are you serious? Maybe his time was done, maybe he wasn't as productive as he used to be, but he was Vancouver's captain for so many years, he brought us many memories, and this is how you think of him? I bet when he was busting his ass out there putting up 100 points you were the first one to buy his jersey, the first one to jump to his defence. You can't blame a player for declining, you can't blame a player for making too much, it happens.
