The only major problem though, even if they found a way to bring it back, was they only intended it to air like 17-18 episodes. There were only actually one or two more planned after this with kevin getting sent back home because he got some how caught in a porn video back round (something like that). They would have to scrap that episode and leave that for way later or something or write a story line that made him go back to the apartment. Either way would be fine with all of us I do believe!

I would totally donate money for them to bring this show back. This show was far better than the simpsons and family guy could ever wish to be. But I would not want them to bring it back unless the whole original team of writers came back to do it as well as all of the original cast for the voices. I mean it was so good and the reason it got dumped was because it was too "risky (that weird french or something pronunciation" at the time it came out. If I was one of the voices, I'd do it for free.

I just got the whole series on dvd Friday. I used to LOVE watching this late at night. Reminded me alot of my early and mid 20's. I was dissappointed to find that these were not part of the special features.

This episode ROCKS!!!! Wish they had finished it.

I agree the look is part of the show's charm but they don't have to do it digitally. Hand drawn cel animation is less common now than it was in the late nineties, but it's not outdated or anything. Just about every college animation course still teaches it alongside learning adobe and what not.

Though I don't get it, Home Movies was on the WB and was cancelled, but then it was resurrected on Adult Swim. How come that didn't happen for Mission Hill?

Probably because Mission Hill had a higher budget. Most of the staff who worked on Home Movies were also the voice actors of the show.

Yeah, they'd either have to age the characters ten years, or completely start the series over. That puts Kevin at 27, and Andy at 35, yikes. Plus they can't do the radiant colors without cell animation, which no one knows how to do anymore.

The major hurdle is that they'd have to do it with digital and not cell animation, which means they can't really get the same look as the show once had, which was part of it's charm. And they wouldn't be able to take on current issues by keeping the late 90's setting.

Oh yeah, I see what you mean. I guess a lot of the jokes would seem pretty irrelevant to newer fans if they did continue the series as if the late 90's were still alive and well. But then, a lot of jokes can be used in retrospect! I bet a lot of the fans who used to watch it on the air would understand. But, like I said, I get your point. They'd still want to appeal a good, new crowd instead of stagnating in a place where they were unappreciated by the networks.

I started watching Mission Hill about 2 weeks ago. At first, I didn't want to watch it...then I decided to watch it on Adult Swim as I waited for Family Guy to come on. That's when it all started. I'm hooked. Mission Hill is so clever and hilarious. The characters are all great and the stories are sensational. I love how they approach everything and hope this show makes a comeback. Mission Hill is one very under rated show!
