What's with Europeans clapping on landings? Don't do it on U.S. carriers or you might freak out the Air Marshall. Also, don't take photos or make video on board. Air Marshalls are to report 2 suspicious passangers a month to show they're doing their job, which can result in gang stalking. Look up gang stalking TV, gang stalking survivor, cell phone stalking, Monarch II (pt twelve), koefnoen, citizen spies, tyrannical oppression, freedom's bloody corpse, backscatter x-rays on YouTube.
Drives me crazy how people make stupid comments about passengers clapping for the pilots. I think it's great that, unlike here in the U.S., airline pilots in other parts of the world are respected and appreciated for the job they do.
The passengers are probably clasping because they (in contrast to the pilots, I hope) got a slight shock when the original approach was aborted, and next they probably were caught off guard by the sudden, narrow turn over Axams (to be seen in the author's other video). Terrain getting that close and Foehn wind tearing about is always good for some excitement.
This approach is standard procedure, yes, but so is relieving your stomach while taking off from or landing at Innsbruck.
innsbruck is one of the harderst airports to land, because its in a valley and you have no really ILS. i can approach by ILS (111.10 MHZ) but you can't land with ILS because theres a safty altitute. the course of the rwy 26 is 258° i think but the ILS gives you the way to 250° or something like that
mabey they don't clap now if i was on that flight I would of clapped too on that not so easy landing thank god piots can train in a simulator first under these conditions
that is not sure that the most passengers are german; on my flight from Istanbul to Vienna with Austrian Airlines, the most passengers were turkish ;)
and people clap also on austrian or swiss planes not only on german planes ^^
It is not that hard. Landing (and flying) for pilots is so routine that it´s like "driving a bus" as I´ve heard from some captain. Flying is more safer than being/driving a car.
It is safer than a car because the pilots are so experienced and professional at what they do. They require a couple of years of intensive training before they can fly commercially. Not any yokel can come up and fly an A380.
Well, I think you're right, I saw on National Geographic Channel that the chance of and aircraft crash is 1 on 11 million. By the Way, did you heard about the plane crash in Holland ( yeah i'm dutch :P ) ?
Yeah, I heard yesterday about in your country Holland. It´s sad, although I don´t much like Turkey (according my travel experience), still it´s sad and should not ever happened to them on board. By the way you have nice channel.
Innsbruck looks so beautifull ..

@1975Aspen Sorry man, no quotas for Air Marshall's in the U.S., and videos are perfectly fine. just so long as you keep your seatbelt on.

People clap out of respect for the Pilot, Here in Belgium it's normal.
It's also one of the best things a pilot can receive, a beautiful applause

@MisterDirtyWorkz Well said :)
zenach48 1 year ago
@MisterDirtyWorkz true, thats why i always start clapping and everyone else around me is following until the whole plane is clapping its hands =D
it's just a sign of respect you HAVE to show to someone in whose hands your responsability laid in during flight!

Maltese clap too...it's not as normal traveling with a plane than with a car...so it's quite natural to clap for a successful flight.
bdw i've landed at that airport and it has a really great scenario going down by those mountains

it's a normal and daily situation for the pilots !!
but i think that th most of all people clab, because they savely on the ground again !!

yes, but a bus driver and a pilot don't need the same skills to land there.. but you're right about flying.. it isn't that hard to fly..

well the way planes are going any idiot can fly them..but flying them manually is where the pilots get paid and what they are trained for
