Oh my god,i thought mine was bad,i am really worried about my floaters I have to wear sunglasess in bright environments is the yag laser treatment available in britain
@thomcorn7 No Vitrectomy. Surprisingly, people with Asteroid Hyalosis are not particularly bothered by floater symptoms or awareness of moving shadows. It goes to show that you don't need to get rid of 100% of the floaters as long as the resifual pieces are small enough and at least a few millimters away from the retina. When some naysayers suggest that the laser just breaks the larger floaters into lots of smaller pieces, I give asteroid hyalosis as an example of how that would be better.
Are there people looking into conducting research for treatments or cure on eye floaters? This is not something to be ignored or taken lightly. It is already 2011, I'm shocked at limitations we still have today.
@MonMonsieurBleu Asteroid Hyalosis is right. Rare-ish genetically associated eye condition. Eye is otherwise healthy, but there are thousands of calcium phosphate crystals attached to the collagen in the vitreous. Oddly enough, in milder cases the patients have minimal symptoms. MonMonsieurBleu go ahead and remove the special coupon I just sent to your USB attached printer. Enjoy!
@VitreousFloaterSolns thank you doctor! I am a pharmacist so It was pretty easy for me to piece it together. I am sorry I am confused about the coupon, I didnt know there was even a prize! What is it for and where did you send it so I may retrieve it? thank you very much and take care.
@VitreousFloaterSolns The prize is the prestige in knowing you were the first and by far the brightest of the whole buch out there!. Just kidding about sending it to your printer.

@TheLysegicmind Surprisingly, people with Asteroid Hyalosis tend not to be as bothered by floaters symptoms - at least as much as you'd think.

@VitreousFloaterSolns I suffer with floaters which are close to retina. If only there was a way how to move them... :(
