And I may hate certain rap, pop and hip hop genres, but I do appreciate the works that the artists do and I don't spend all of my time bagging the shit out of them. I just don't enjoy listening to that music, so I don't. It's as simple as that. I dont go ahead and bag the shit out of their music and their fans.

Based on what Ive seen of you you seem to "refuse" to explore music you LIKE "because listening to bands that aren't in the top 40 is only for hipsters and elitists". It doesn't annoy me, it's just kind of sad you're missing out on so much you might enjoy because you've convinced yourself there's something "wrong" with listening to music that maybe not everyone's heard of.

This is how it ACTUALLY works. Listen closely. People like a style of music so they look into it more to find more of it. I like what I like because I like it, not because of how "popular" or "unpopular" it is.
In my experience the only people who throw around terms like "elitist", "hipster" and "you only like it because it's not mainstream" are usually very insecure themselves because they've just discovered that they're not nearly as individual as they thought they were.
