one of my all-time favourites - absolutely astonishing. It comes down to your level when you're low, and, at least to me, says 'It's okay - I feel the same as you.' I think people forget that sad and deep songs can be the most healing.

I really hate drugs, please my young people of the world look deep within your self and ask is really worth there are so many ways to have fun or just sometime relax being drug free will be the test for getting a better life, I am hurt this was a man that my father really admire and I remember from the short time i spent with my dad, so know i listen to his records and understand my dads mental and a way. the future is ours!

Thank you for caring enough to post the lyrics to this song. Gil vocal is great. His harmonizing is great. The man is great. He was too revolutionary for the times
when is early recordings came out, and
"the system" gave him hell. I hope young and older people find their way to his recordings at some point in their lives. He spoke and sang to make the world a better place, but society fustrated his every attempt. It's is out of thanks that I listen to Gil.

The true genious of Gil was nut just his love for Black people and our struggle, but his concern for humanity. He was singing about coal miners ("3 Miles Down") and undocumented immigrants ("Alien, Hold On To Your Dream") when they weren't on most people's radar. I felt he was the smartest person I know. absolutely beautiful!!! I love this song!!! I saw Gil Scott in the late 70's while in high school at Concerts by the Sea in Redondo Beach, CA. I was in awe!!! He is my hero!! Powerful brutha!

The show at SugarHill was an awesome experience! It was my 1st time seeing him live. The band was incredible, the music was moving and Gil has an incredible sense of humor! I got a chance to meet him and he signed my book of poems. I really hope he comes back to atlanta again.
