Can someone give a quick review of what is needed to get from a design or an idea to the eventual milling. What are software packages that are frequently used.
Most likely this operation is a finishing pass with a shallow depth of cut and a moderate feed; it turns out that most of the heat is carried away by the chips, so they can get away with not using coolant, although ideally one might want to use it.
Does anyone know if this series of machines (X3/X4/X4+) can do SIMULTANEOUS 4 axis (G93 inverse feed)? I am interested in one of these but this video only shows A-axis positional.

We just checked the controller and it likes G93, it should work just fine..
