Who says that the person who was Jesus Christ/Yousef Assaf does not sit at Gods right hand. If he was the Christ then no matter how or when he died he would be there along with all the other prophets that God has sent to mankind, were that person Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist. Jesus lived, was crucified and was buried in a tomb in Israel. He resurrected from death, and there is no reason why it is not possible that He would have appeared in Kashmir and healed and taught there for any number of years.he could have inhabited any body as a vehicle for His purpose, and that body when He left it could well have been buried in Kashmir. I was brought up Catholic. My ideas are different now based on the actions of the Vatican, which have become a curse on Earth. When I see that the Pope set aside millions of francs or dollars for his travel, when he could make do with much less & use what money is available to help countries suffering from famine, you can not persuade me that the Vatican speaks for Christ or that Christ would direct their actions. IMO his Holiness the Dali Lama is truer to Christ teachings than the Vatican.
If Jesus survived & came to Kashmir, it does not follow that He was not resurrected, or that He did not ascend to heaven then go to Kashmir. The "ascension into heaven" was spiritual, not a rocket launch into cold space. And great yogis can resurrect themselves, or live on after expiring, or be in a state of suspension. I'm a Christian & after studying this, it seems viable. Reason #1 There are records of Jesus there. #2. John 6:42 seems like the townspeople "recognized Jesus" as Joseph's and Mary's son, not a ususual reaction that you would get if they saw you everyday. #3. Jesus' teachings were WAY different than Jewish law. Taken that Jesus is God, it is possible that his teachings were divine but it would make more sense to learn them and come back somewhere than just flick a switch one day. Interesting !
Actually, the man Yus Asaf buried at Rozabal is not Jesus. He was a 15th Century Egyptian diplomat who came to Kashmir and died there. He was an ambassador from Egyptian Sultan to the court of Zain-ul-Abidin, the then ruler of Kashmir.

Anyone who is worth their salt in in ANY mystical tradition does not aim for Siddhis, they are secondary and are certainly NOT the goal.
Siddhi states are powers like the ability to heal or see the future. Savant also exhibit extraordinary powers. This could be also called kundalini. The road to enlightenment.
The writer/narrator assumes that it was a physical ressurection not a spiritual one and then declares the end of Christianity. To me the physical death confirms the accounts of gnostic gospels. Let's assume he really existed and after attaining enlightenment in the east decided to use his gifts and heal the suffering people and not remain in a state of impotent contemplation under a tree. Interesting theory. The Indian connection is possible as is the connection to Kashmir Shaivism ,but there is a far more likely possibility . Yeshua Ben Josef may very well have encountered the Essene community . This group was present in the middle east during the relevant time period.

An old friend of mine is a Catholic and he told me when he was growing up he was not allowed to read the Bible. I know times have changed and I am glad for that. Me I am not sure what I am. I was born into a Christian family, I left the church, contemplated becoming a Catholic, but feel more drawn to Buddhist teachings. This video was very good. I enjoyed the idea of it. Anything is possible. The fact remains that there was someone who had a profound affect on the world.

Jesus lived, was crucified and was buried in a tomb in Israel. He resurrected from death, and there is no reason why it is not possible that He would have appeared in Kashmir and healed and taught there for any number of years.he could have inhabited any body as a vehicle for His purpose, and that body when He left it could well have been buried in Kashmir. It leads and makes statements that imply outcomes in the viewers mind that are not properly based when you think about the knowledge level of the average person on religion. I was brought up Catholic. My ideas are different now based on the actions of the Vatican, which have become a curse on Earth. When I see that the Pope set aside millions of francs or dollars for his travel, when he could make do with much less & use what money is available to help countries suffering from famine, you can not persuade me that the Vatican speaks for Christ or that Christ would direct their actions. IMO his Holiness the Dali Lama is truer to Christ teachings than the Vatican.

If Jesus survived & came to Kashmir, it does not follow that He was not resurrected, or that He did not ascend to heaven then go to Kashmir. The "ascension into heaven" was spiritual, not a rocket launch into cold space. And great yogis can resurrect themselves, or live on after expiring, or be in a state of suspension. The movie was great until it got to that Jewey part. Other accounts of Jesus-in-Kashmir state he came there after going through the cruxifiction. Not that he wasn't a Godman.

I'm a Christian & after studying this, it seems viable. Reason #1 There are records of Jesus there. #2. John 6:42 seems like the townspeople "recognized Jesus" as Joseph's and Mary's son, not a ususual reaction that you would get if they saw you everyday. #3. Jesus' teachings were WAY different than Jewish law. Taken that Jesus is God, it is possible that his teachings were divine but it would make more sense to learn them and come back somewhere than just flick a switch one day. Interesting !

Interesting theory. The Indian connection is possible as is the connection to Kashmir Shaivism ,but there is a far more likely possibility . Yeshua Ben Josef may very well have encountered the Essene community . This group was present in the middle east during the relevant time period.
The teachings of this GREAT spiritual tradition are completely consistent with the Gospel of the Christ.

An old friend of mine is a Catholic and he told me when he was growing up he was not allowed to read the Bible. I know times have changed and I am glad for that. Me I am not sure what I am. I was born into a Christian family, I left the church, contemplated becoming a Catholic, but feel more drawn to Buddhist teachings. This video was very good. I enjoyed the idea of it. Anything is possible. The fact remains that there was someone who had a profound affect on the world.

Finally, let me add that 1) Luke 19:27 is simply a parable, not a commandment. The passages that I reference are Jesus summation of God's ENTIRE LAW and a VERY literal prayer directly from his mouth. 2) Luke 19:27 is entirely out of character for Jesus. It is inconsistent with the spirit of his teachings. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if it was added later by someone with ulterior motives. Anyway, I agree that theres nothing wrong with self-defense. Thats not the same as murderous OFFENSE.

At some points, there're a lot of differences between what Buddha and Jesus said.
For example:
Jesus: he's the son of the god
Buddha: everyone can be a buddha. (Buddha means Awakened One)
Jesus: If one believes in God or Jesus, one goes to heaven (this means eternity).
Buddha: If one does bad, one receives bad retribution(s). Vice versa. (nothing is permanent).

I'd recommend reading Swami Vivekananda's thoughts on this subject. Hinduism most elegantly finds harmony between these seemingly contradictory ideologies. "all religions are true" according to Hinduism. "Monism" is considered to be highest form of philosophy, but the prophets teach things in a simple way (dualism, qualified dualism) so that the common man can understand.

For the record, buddhism starts approximately 500 years before christianity. So, jesus was the one who went to india to study meditation and maybe learnt Buddhism or Hinduism in India. Otherwise, how on earth was he (jesus) able to perform the "walking on the sea" stuff if he hadn't mastered the concentration technique of meditation?

If you're asking me, no. I'm definitely not a hippy. I express love through service (as in service projects and charity, etc). Selfless giving of myself, my time, my efforts, and my possessions to benefit others and to further God's work without asking for anything in return is what I find to be true love.
I'm not anti-war at all costs, and am not about free love and flowers, do not smoke weed or listen to folk music.

He is the Father of Christianity. Many doctrines have been created by man and have used Jesus as their icon. In the end, those views will be exposed for what they really are. The true teachings and intentions of Jesus will also be revealed for what they truly are, and people will all be judged accordingly.
Christians by definition of the word are followers of Christ (all of which believe Jesus to be the Christ).
