Schlimm sind die Bilder von der Arbeitshose, dieses Tier hat so unter der Abstinenz von Thomas Dörflein gelitten. Ich hoffe, sie sind beide jetzt wieder vereint. Nie werde ich vergessen, wie wir jeden Samstagmorgen im Jahre 2007 im Ersten Knuts-Tagebuch verfolgt hatten. Es ist so traurig, das dieses außergewöhnliche Tier und dieser tolle Mensch nicht bei bei uns sind.

I am sure Thomas was there to welcome Knut with open arms when they met again....this is the only thing i can think of right now as I watch this.
No, the bear seemed sad, but that is not why he died. He died because of a disease that caused swelling in the brain and the disease was caused by an untreated infection that could have been there for weeks or even months. All in all he died because of neglect, no one close to Knut cared enough about him after Thomas Dorflein died of a hear attack. So annoyingly sad! : (
Was Kirche und Religion angeht, bin ich wohl so ziemlich der "ungläubigste" Mensch unter der Sonne. Aber bei Thomas und Knut möchte ich einfach glauben, daß - WENN es ein Jenseits gibt - die beiden bis in alle Ewigkeit zusammen spielen, kuscheln - und Freunde sind.....

Whatever the precise medical reason that led to Knut's disease and death, it seems very likely to me that over the passage of time he slowly realised he wasn't going to see Thomas again and lost the will to live. It happens and it's very sad.
Knut Gemeinde weltweit bitte wachwerden und endlich mehr für die Tiere tun.
Die Tiere in Zoos in zu engen Käfige,die armen Zirkustiere..die Hunde an Ketten und in Käfigen und viel mehr.. dann ist Knut nicht umsonst gestorben ..

Sept 2008 The Trainer/Father died from Cancer, and then March 2011 the Bear died. So the bear was alive one year and a half without him.
