  • although the audiio quality is not good, i have enjoyed a lot this performance, especially from 4:20 on...when Bowie accelerates my heart accelerates!

  • This was such a low for both David & Trent. Sad to say it never worked. And they knew it

  • @Hotelmotelkfc Are we watching the same video? Some of the 90s industrial-lite song treatments might seem a little dated, but I see a very vitalized Bowie here. If this was such a 'low' why would Trent agree to work on those Earthling tracks after this tour? They both look back fondly on this period in interviews, so I doubt they'd agree with your assessment.

  • Sing it Bowie

  • Is there some place I can buy this?

  • this is my favorite live version of this song!

  • the seed of a lot of NIN songs is in this song.

  • Anybody know where there's a version of this that's actually enjoyable??

  • Bowie and NIN = WIN

  • i cry my heart out ....i missed this gig .....loved how nin boosted this old epic song

  • So they are 'NiN' now, are they?

  • David ur sooooooooooooooooooooooooo sexxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy xxx

  • I saw this show in Atlanta. An odd show...the young crowd was obviously there for NIN, and most older people stayed away because they knew this wasn't a greatest hits tour. I liked the show but it seemed like David was trying too hard...what's the point of playing deep cuts like Andy Warhol and Man Who Sold the World if you are just going to render them unrecognizable.

  • maybe because he gets bored of playing them the same way for years and wants to be a little inventive!?

  • Sure maybe. I'm just telling it like I saw it. I don't care why he did it, I thought it wasn't that good. He obviously agrees with me because he has been playing it straight ever since that tour.

  • I was 17 in 1995 and to tell you the truth if I was at this concert I wouldnt've given a sh!t about David Bowie.....I would've saw him like he was another Peter Murphy (who I saw at some other concert.)

But times have changed. Over the last few years I've become Bowiefied and have most of his catalog of CDs. This man is now my favorite music artist of all time .

  • No offense to Peter Murphy. I have yet to delve into his catalog to see if I like it or not.

  • EPIC

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was there!! Saw this tour in DC

    AWSOME!!!!!!

  • um yeah, willing to give my soul to whomever can get me a time machine and get me to this fucking show! for real. :P

  • I was at this show, and it was the first time I ever took mushrooms.

  • if you can't beat 'em join them. a power house of a collaboration!

  • I like Trent's background screams on the chorus. "Scary monsters, super creeps. Keeps me running, running scared."

  • This is one of those videos in which I could care less about the audio quality. Its badass anyway.

  • david bowie is a badass

  • Anybody have video of the Saturday Night Live performance of Scary Monsters? It might have been during the Earthling tour since he had orange hair. Emphasis on the "monsters" I guess - he had on all black and a cape or something with a real high collar; looked like a vampire.

  • I have this video. Unfortunately, NBC copyright guys are rabid and I am unable to upload this. if you message me, I can upload it to a file server and send it to you possibly...

  • You're right about NBC. They are indeed total bastards.

  • Gemma we got the VIP passes met T and David...super, funny men and I mentioned to David that I have seen him over 30 times since the Toronto,Canada ,Diamnod Dogs Tour...he just loved to chat about it all!

Bless you and have a safe, properous New Year...I am sending you a small gift this week.Luv on ya..

    Dr.J

  • Jesus, Thats a lot of concerts!. FuckN A!!

  • This is better than southern rock...

  • freebird!

  • I wonder if you can buy this paticular song on an album.

  • This is awesome, thank you for posting it! I saw this tour in Tacoma and it was my introduction to Nine Inch Nails! They blew me away, but this part, and Bowie's show were just awesome - best concert I've seen (out of hundreds), and best Bowie concert (out of 11!)

  • Scared the shit outta me at 1:33...still love him tho'

  • OH MY GOODNESS! I know what you mean! I thought he was going to tear out of the video at that moment! Haha!

  • Truley epic, "The Ring" style.

    Yeah, freaked me!!

  • trent drives me crazy

  • GREAT VIDEO & BEATIFUL SONG

((my bowie is different from yours))

    don't you wonder sometimes 'bout sound&vision ?

    by ASHESphoto . IT (( c o m e ))

  • Two the most awesome persons I ever saw on one show... Oh lord...

  • MY GOD...Scaaary and marvelous....The Duke is sharp as a blade, obscure and fascinating...and NIN are pure noise, a spiral of violence in music....wonderful!!!!

  • They took too much drugs... That´s evidently.

  • what is your point?

  • Shi*! What´s up? I love both of them! They are my most favourite music artists. So why had my commentary a bad rating? Because it´s not great idea? Because comments like "Trent´s so sexy!" are better than mine? Wonderful!

  • So?

  • great segue from 'subtereneans'

  • Fantastic version.

  • Oh i creamed my jeans at this show Bowie n trent together what a f..in awesome combonation.

  • Charlie on drums!

  • Yeah! Weird thing =S At that moment James Woolley was no longer in the band as keybordist, so Charlie joined the line-up... but I didn't knew he could play drumms. Gotta love him.

  • surreal.......

  • No kidding!

  • Why do I feel the need for a contraception device while watching this! Is it just ME...I wonder?

  • Nevermind the distorted audio TW, this is convulsion-inducing baby....CONVULTIONS(oh dammit I can't even spell anymore, it's hopeless, my brain is mush)

  • Oh sh*****t WTF?....this is wicked! I need oxygen, SERIOUSLY!

  • Pause it at 1.33 ...fuckin SCARY alright! Are we talking Exorcist here or what?

  • Yes, I agree, Bowie's eyes have always been a point of interest in their unique beauty, but here, they are simply amazing, they defy words! Love the outfit and the hair as well. I am SO upset I missed this tour, Bowie and NIN together? I am glad it was done, but so sad I missed it!

  • awesome i never thought i would have ever seen this. thanks.

  • I have the MP3 file of this from the same show. Would you like it so you can have better sound? regards

  • that would be amazing, actually. i've been trying to find a sound-only bootleg so i could do that.

  • Check your PM :-)

  • get the live hate cd

  • @mikepowell2006 Dude, if you still exist 'round these parts, I would maybe possibly give my left nut for those MP3s.
