I can't believe Jane is already gone from, "The Tudors". She should have had more TV Time. Lady Ursula Misseldon is getting more TV time than Jane. What a shame. 5 stars!
I really wish that Jane would have lived a lot longer than she did. I just really think she would have been an amazing Queen Consort. One of the things I admire that she did, was bringing Mary back to court.
Mary never should have been away in the first place, and Jane clearly knew that. To me, it showed she had a heart, was going to take good care of Katherine's beloved daughter, and become a Mother figure to her. Mary needed something positive in her life.
Actually not at all, Jane was attempting to bring Elizabeth back into Henry's favour when she died. Elizabeth was a delicate process, her mother was hated, as such Jane had to wait for Henry to cool down before she could bring Elizabeth back to court.
Well Elizabeth was neglected until she ran out of clothes The little girl was literally left shivering in not but her underwear but I'm not sure if that happened during Jane's time or after
That was after Jane's death. Her sister Mary became Elizabeth's voice at court. Mary wrote to Henry about Elizabeth and asked him to help her, Mary herself would send Elizabeth gifts to help raise her spirits.
Thank you LNor19, many are biased in history towards mary and there is alot of political history and properganda. Thank you for quoting the truth there.
And yet they call the poor woman Bloody Mary. I could not imagine defending the child of a wicked stepmother who supplanted my own mother for my father's affections.
In some of these pics. she is just so darn pretty. What a sweet person, god bless her and may she rest in peace. I especially love the pics at :16 and 1:18.
Thank you for saying that, there are sketches(which are in this vid) of Jane where she is quite a beauty. She was a kind woman and lovely woman, despite what some may say.
Like David Starkey her chapter in Six wives the queens of King Henry VIII, his tone is so Condescending & words like pathetic, failure & trophy wife, & bird in a glided cage, appear quite a bit Compared to Aragon Boleyn & Parr her story's pretty bland but still for Henry she was soft cool night after Anne's blazing summer day
Starkey prefers Katherine, Anne, and Catherine because they were around longer, so he can listen to himself talk more, lol. There's no doubt that Starkey is one of the best Tudor historians, but he's quite full of himself, in my opinion.
Me too, I love her biographies, she is a vry good source to me on KOA and Marie aNTOINETTE, twoofmy fave Queens. And she is symphathetic and fair, without being biased.
well I love david starskey he knows a lot but I will admit that his bio on six wives of henry the eigth focus more on Katherine of aragon and anne boleyn. Catherien Parr he is the third wife he focus more, but the book has more pages of the first two, and I think he could have dedicated more time to anne of cleves, kat howard and jane seymour, I may not like her totally but like the others you cant really judge, without understand why it happened.
I love the music - what is it?

Jane was the Queen fit for Henry. She fullfilled her only duty as Queen: to have a son.
