  • The version of Kenneth is good, but so pretentious...This version is better, Gibson was great playing Hamlet.

  • hamlet was a whore damn

  • I saw this in my english 12 class. I actually really like it, it was a good movie.

  • @odgm12345 you saw this in your grade 12 english class? im about to watch this and i AM 12

  • @smileyface1510 Yeah English 12, Okay what does you being 12 have to do with anything?

  • @odgm12345 i just think (along with my parents, classmates and teacher) that i really shouldnt be watching it now...

  • @smileyface1510 yeah, well who's making you watch it?

  • @odgm12345 my teacher... well, actually, his boss is making him make us watch it

  • @smileyface1510 Yeah well it's going to be slightly hard to understand because they talk in old English from Europe, and this movie is supposed to be for an older audience

  • @odgm12345 oh joy! this just made it 10 times better -.-

  • Nice wig Gertrude, what's it made of?

    Your mom's chest hair!!!

  • alguien pude hablar español

  • I've never seen this movie but Gibson is not convincing at all with his character

  • This movie is actually very very good.

  • carmina burana is fitting no?

  • I love this movie! The trailer is a little annoying, but the movie is a perfect cinematic version of the story, with a length that a person new to Shakespeare, or who doesn't want to watch an incredibly long movie, can thoroughly enjoy. The cast, settings, and costuming are impeccable. I think Mel G. played Hamlet very well, whatever his public shortcomings may be/have been. This is a beautiful film!

  • Arguably the worst version of "Hamlet" ever filmed. If you want to see "Hamlet" at its best, watch Kenneth Branagh's adaptation, the most professional in my opinion.

  • @TheAxelMan100 I just finish watching Kenneth Branagh's Hamlet and to me it is his greatest achievement to film. So I'm really skeptical to see this version.

  • @Hyman74Roth Mel Gibson was good, but no version captured Hamlet better than Kenneth did. He's had the most experience, so he knew exactly what he was doing. I'd say watch the Gibson film anyway, because it's interesting to see what the actors/directors can bring to the screen. There's also The Royal Shakespeare Company's version with David Tennant that was satisfactory (still can't beat Branagh), and I want to see Jude Law's Broadway portrayal.

  • @TheAxelMan100 To be honest I thought the David Tennant version was rather boring for some reason.

  • @Hyman74Roth It was interesting and very well portrayed, but yes, it was the more anti-climatic of all versions I've seen

  • this movie was horrible

  • Itsnt saying, " to live or to die" and to "to be or not to be" the same thing? because the to be or not to be speach is him contemplating suicide, is it not?

  • Lol casting Mel Gibson as theatre's quintessential mentally unstable character OH THE IRONY

  • @Balian49 Charlie Sheen might have been better.
