The only hero I think that can beat dr.fate is flash, superman is weak to magic batman can put up a fight but won't win flash however would because he's superfast and can vibrate right through him... However this is my opinion if you disagree reply why and give a valid reason.

@tarona23 See the full episode. If Oa "were ever destroyed", the rings would still have it's remaining energy left. Once that energy is used, well, theres no more central battery to recharge them. The remaining Green Lanterns where going to use what was left to release it all in one huge last stand explosion and kill the Android.

just about every character in this show was perfectly cast (by casting director and voice director andrea romano, by far the most respected in the business). oded fehr as Dr. Fate was just a brilliant choice... if you didnt tell me he is israeli i would have never been able to pinpoint his accent myself.

I recognized Dr. Fate's voice the minute I heard him speak and was like, yo that's the guy that played a character role in that film named "The Mummy"! (Oded Fehr). What makes it even more epic is that Dr.Fate himself is a sorcerer from Egypt and I think that's where Oded is from, or at least his ethnicity. To me he will always be the perfect fit for playing Dr. Fate

I like dr.fate and the fact that he is all about hope, peace and giving everyone a second chance. he's my type of hero. If I was a super hero, I would be like dr.fate, believing in hope and peace too.

I'm a JL fan, but i wish i could understand why do they treat Flash like a joke... come on, the guy is the fastest hero on the world and he's like always being stopped by tripping over something? Although being a fan, i hate how people handle Flash's limitations, he was supposed to be an awesome hero, and no more tripping on stupid things....

@MagnumWave Wally West was a joke character for quite awhile back in the JLE series. It wasn't that he wasn't a hero or powerful, he was just immature. That's the Flash they went with here.

The reason why Doctor Fate is rarely used is the same reason Dr. Strange is barely used in Marvel they are both too powerful being the guardians of magic for both their universes. They both have a limitless library of books to call upon spells to defeat any foe they meet. Neither have had long running titles and they never will they just cant sustain them for very long.

I'd also like to say, the first speaking role for the character in general (assuming you meant the JL before it became Unlimited and not just another JL series) was in the Superman series. An episode featured a magical threat, and Supes had to get Dr. Fate to help.

@DeaKmra It is the JL which explains how Grundy finally found death. The episode is called the Terror Beyond. Aquaman, Hawkgirl and Fate were the main characters in that episode.
