@Varvatokosta If you listen to some Metallica's main influences like NWOBHM-representers Blitzkrieg, Diamond Head and Saxon, you get a clue, how very little Metallica actually came up with. They basically just added a bit rawer distortion and more speed to the sound. Nothing much more phenomenal, they did not do. NWOBHM was also the first metal movement which twisted heavy metal into new rebellious form heavily influenced by punk.

@Varvatokosta Metallica might had had it's benchmark albums, which gained the band commercial success and popularized the way of playing, but I personally would like to credit bands like Venom, Celtic Frost, Slayer, Raven, Exciter and Anvil as more important ,and in most cases, more early developers of extreme metal. And what comes to Megadeth, I really don't have anything bad to say about them. It's just Metallica that I find rather unoriginal, boring and criminally overrated.

It is very hard to find this re-release, and the original ( only in tape and vinyl form ), is near to impossible. But I still suggest you buy it, if you happen to find it.

Well, I ordered mine from on-line ,underground extreme metal oriented store, named Hell's Headbangers. It seems, they've already removed it from their catalogue, tough. I would google with words like "buy / purchase Aspid Extravasation", or trying it from eBay or Amazon. Sorry, that I can't help you more.

Never heard anything from them, tough ) Sadus Coroner Invocator Watchtower ( this is a cool one ) Hexenhaus (early) Annihilator Droÿs Obliveon ( I like this one a lot ) Guess there's something new for yah ?

I don't no. "Reign in Blood" would be my choice. Metallica might have been amongst the very first and certainly the most succesful of the trend, but I haven't actually heard bands, that would have actually made thrash more . . . flat. Maybe that would be the word. Neither is any of Metallica's members musical skills beyond moderate .There is just so many bands, like Aspid here, which are so much more deserving the same amount of popularity. I have to admit, that I am not too much of friend of neither of the bands' music. But I would certainly choose Megadeth over Metallica, even though I deeply hate Mustaine's voice.
