And the 4.7l powertech WJ is DOHC. Jeep doesnt intentionally downgrade their vehicles. By far the WJ is better on and off the road than the ZJ, plus it just looks better;)

Both of yours were completely stock other than the dual exhaust, so you still don't know the full potential of either motor. Maybe the WJ is better off-roading, but on the road where it matters more, there is no replacement for displacement and the ZJ wins whether you like it or not. The ZJ is way nicer, louder, more beast, and pulls harder than the WJ. WJ is the rounded weak bitch baby V8 Jeep

I have Kooks 1 5/8" Long Tube Headers to a 3" Flowmaster Super 44 and it is way louder than any 4.7 I have ever heard. It would be even louder if I swapped the Super 44 for a single channel Super 10 muffler, but only center outlets are available on the Super 10 and I need the offset outlet. You can't beat the beast sound of the good old 5.2 / 5.9 V8 Magnums.

Well you are correct if you are stating that older Grand Cherokees such as this model do not have v6's to some extent but the crossover year did have one and all the new ones do. Its called the Powertech 3.7 liter just a cut down version of the 4.7 v8. They should have never gotten rid of the ol' reliable 4.0 though..
