  • 2 Peter:9-22

    Amen!

  • Amen!!!!!!!!

  • Amen!!

  • Beautiful! Amen! I still remember the day when my whole family was at a complete loss, and were about to lose everything. After humble supplication before God, and earnest prayer, He answered us and helped us through! He will do this for anyone if they ask, and He sees fit. :)

  • Amen my friend!

  • Yeah, the greed gospel! I don't think that comes from God of the bible, Jesus said it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to get to heaven.

  • Great video!

  • enlightening, powerfull...truth!

  • Amen Brother! I do not get into all that crap people like Joel Olsteen are selling. I am broke and I love it because (Praise God) I know that Spiritually I have more wealth than I deserve. My Father in-law is laying on his deathbed right now and I praise God because I know he is going to a place where there is no suffering.

  • I agree with you that the prosperity gospel is off track. I stopped listening to Copeland and that bunch years ago.

Then I told my wife at that time, who was suffering from painful, bloating, debilitating congenital heart disease that she had to stop listening to all that teaching about healing too.

It was her last hope. I visibly SAW HER HEART break as I told her to stop listening to Copeland. I took away her last hope, and she turned around and died, sick, broke and in debt.

  • @daffydoug then after she died she passed the debt along to me. Years later, I am still under it's heavy burden.

Now I don't disagree with your teaching, BUT I think there MUST be a happy medium here. Surely God doesn't want us driving BMW's, but on the other hand, I can't believe he wants us walking on dirt floors, either.

As far as accidents on earth, should we just take scissors and CUT the 91st psalm out of our Bibles???

And as far as prosperity, what are you going to do with

  • @daffydoug Deut 28:1-13?? Isn;t that part of the Bible too? I have seen photos of little children in Africa literally crawling on the ground EATING DIRT and it ripped my heart out.

Are we going to go there and tell them Jesus loves them, but they have to keep eating dirt and add on top of that MORE suffering for Jesus??

What do YOU suggest? Tell them they have to STAY POOR because there is no such thing as prosperity? Again SURELY there has to be a happy in between somewhere.

  • @daffydoug

I understand what you are saying but the message which this is showing is that the gifts are what matter and the emphasis is on if you serve God, you will have all these possessions. I believe it is not wrong to have possessions but if it becomes an idol, we are aiming to receive the wrong thing. The best example is Job who lost everything including His children wealth etc. His response was more the same as mentioned about the illustration of the little girl in the car accident

When it comes to helping those around the world, we must take on the method of Christ. Christ did more healing than preaching as you read through His life. When He saw the multitude of people, He broke bread so their needs are satisfied. Likewise, when we are going across to places of poverty, it is for God's glory to be manifested through us when we sacrifice ourselves in helping those people in their spiritual and physical needs. But many preach and go which is wrong

  • I am sorry to hear about what happened to your wife!

    Ecc 7:2

  • @Jondadon2006 Oh it was four years ago, and my mourning is over. She was born with a nickel sized hole in her heart, caused because her mother took an "upper" to keep awake with my wife's dad, who was trucker.

But for most of the twenty years of our marriage she suffered HORRIBLY as no woman I have ever seen. Bloating, swelling, hellish pain and all that. She was believing for her healing when I cut her of from Kenneth Copeland, which as I said killed her dream of being healed.

  • @daffydoug

it is VERY IMPORTANT that we keep the focus on Jesus in ALL situations, not on ourselves, not on the poor either. Whether we are in dirt-poor slum area or in a high class environment, we still have to preach 2 things only: (1) Jesus Christ and Him crucified, and (2) the word of our testimony. We should never SELL anything at all to the poor. Freely give!

Giving to the poor is, if we are Christ's followers, MUST do. It is nothing to discuss, nor argue nor philosophize about.
