Funny, Burial's songs have always reminded me of walking alone on a dark rainy night.. It's amazing how he captures a very dark vibe in his songs yet they still maintain the essence of beauty, it's almost paradoxical.

the first time i heard burial, i saw i had his entire first album in my winamp randomly. i played it while i was chilling with my girlfriend smoking or whatever, and i was listening closely. more closely than i was to my girlfriend, probably. :b but i thought it was really weird music. i decided it was just a big off time mess. i listened again today while i was wake n baking, and i still think it is just a big mess. but this song grew on me a little. (my opinion, dont be an ass)

i used to go to england alot, manchester and stockport a couple months every year (relatives live there). havent been in over 10 years. Burial's music revives my memories of the streets of england. every track i hear i get a montage in my head that makes me want to go back.

the whole production style shouts dubstep...some artists take their chanches to the limit and get great stuff...i would call it either broken beat or microhouse...get his albs and you will notice the dub in there as a whole project...youtube bitrate is crap,get an audio CD and you prolly gonna hear it :)

@fluxbunny1 dub means stripped down to just bass and drum. step means shuffling hypersyncopated 2-step percussion. put it together: dubstep. this is more remeniscent of early dubstep just evolved from dark uk garage. check out roots of dubstep compilation for more examples

I'm a drum and bass guy since 95' and I'm tellin ya I am really feeling Burial, Synkro, and Breakage. Found it by way of listening to Instra:mental and such. We must always stay open. You captured this track very well! Visually depicting something, to resemble an emotional state, is the hardest thing for an artist to do, let alone without using words. As one who plays multiple instruments, and listens to almost every genre in existance, i can honestly say that Burial is the most unique, and one of the impossible few who can capture feelings and emotions. If you're listening is abstract (meaning, you don't see the depth), i feel very sorry for you. If all you notice is the drum loop in Burial's songs... then you're not listening. This video, and song, are truly unique and amazing.
