  • Hi pocoelly!

You recorded this 3 years ago so maybe my comments are a little to out-of-date now.. But most of all.. If you have the chance to record this on a grand I think you should do it. The dynamics and details of the piece cannot be handled by your digital piano IMHO.

But you show temper, and guts! Good, thats very important. Nice flow. Well done!

Detail: There is a wrong note at 0:35, you play a f in the right hand, i think it should be a f#. Gives the wrong chord.

  • @alinnman

Hi alinnman! Thanks for the advice =) I wish I can do it with the grand.

Anyways, I will try to record it with my yamaha upright soon. And you're most welcome to evaluate it. Thanks again.

  • @alinnman youre absolutely right

  • Wow! I thought this would suck, but good job!!!

  • that was really good, in the beginning, (at least in my opinion i play but not that good) is that you play your left handa little bit earlier than you did after the first chord.

  • can you teach to play it please pocoelly?

  • Fisrt adviced: BUY A PIANO!!

  • First advice for you: When you post a video of you playing like that, then you can give her orders. Second advice: When you try to criticize someone, LEARN TO SPELL! ^.^

  • boring....

  • ok.. yea... maybe this piece is a little more intense then fantasie impromptu.

    ._.

I agree with the comments about too much pedal.. maybe a litte less would be good.. Im still very new too piano, so you dont have to take my comments into that much consideration. your very good! i wanna be able to play this too... eventually.

  • =P this piece looks intense, but it's not.. etudes are meant to be warm up...they're mostly patterns

fantaisie impromptu on the other hand...changes tempo a lot. 6/8...those are bad X_X

  • Too much pedal. NOt well sound. Wrong notes. Only 2 stars.

  • Wrong notes at 0:34

Sorry, I just had to notice them :P Theyre in the left hand, the arpeggio changes to:

    C, F#, C, D, Eb, D, C, F#

You just carried on playing how it was before:

    C, G, C, D, Eb, D, C, G

  • @samuelishmedia theory 101: never, ever mix flats and sharps together either D# and F# or Eb and Gb, considering the piece is in c minor it should have been a Gb. I just has to notice that.

  • More accurate theory 101: that is utter nonsense. Have you never heard of raising the C to get a C sharp in the key of D minor which normally has a B flat?

Also, the note is actually F# not Gb, as you will find out if you look at the sheet music for this étude.

  • @samuelishmedia my bad on that one, it is written as an F#, in my defense I was always taught to either use only sharps or only flats

  • Be carefull with your timing, in the left hand be sure not to rush the beat a little after playing all the way up to middle C in your minor arpegio, to the octave below it. Also, watch your triplets against the 16th's. Its tricky, but you did fair. Keep working! Don't worry, your major flukes will soon be perfected to minor ones.

  • Wow! Impressive for sure, hope I can play as fast as you some day. (I just play at home as a hobby but it'd be awesome to play like that)

  • Excellent. You don't let yourself get caught in the rapid flow of the piece, like many players do. You stay in control. Very impressive.

  • that's very well, but you mustn't use the right pedal so much

  • THanks cerzule! keep it up! It will pay off in the end =)

  • Well done! I always have a hard time with this amazing piece, but you play it exceptionally well. Nice keyboard, too!

  • wow...on an e-piano!! :) really good...

  • Thanks bben16!

  • Good job, excellent... but I have also a casio keyboard... exactly a privia PX-400R the next version of your keyboard... and I can play a little better than you; but also I know that difficult is playing this song in our conditions'cause we can't do many things as a real piano :-).... nice too meet you... excellent job whit this score....

  • Hi thepbplay!

Yeah, this piece is difficult in the beginning...however, its way better now =)

    nice meeting you too.

I would love to hear you play this piece... Hope you can upload your video some time ;)

    Thanks. Have a great day!

  • Couple of questions

1.how much does that keyboard cost?

    2.what kind is it?

    3.does it have pedals?

You're really amazing, besides Bunin's this is the only other video I watch of this etude.

  • Hello Zordiarkz.

Its Casio PX100, ard 1.5k. Yeah, it has standard 3 pedals.

    Thanks for your complement.

    MErry Christmas to you =D

  • I picked up a Casio Privia PX-110, which I believe is the newer version of this one at a Guitar Center for around $450.

  • Opps sorry~~~ a thousand apologies..its Casio Privia PX-110..same as i64X..hm? $450 eh? in which currency? mine is S$.. i guess converting is almost the same...

  • Sorry, $US.

  • where you get the keyboard?

  • I got it over at one of the music instrument shop in the nearby state.

  • thanks

  • Well donE!-~!*

  • Thanks..=)

  • Technically great. Amazed me it was a keyboard and I'd like to hear it on a good grand. What else is in your repertoire?

  • If only I have a grand then probably you can hear it on a grand =)

    Thanks for your complement ;)

  • can you teach me that? without giving me the sheet music? by the way, that was amazing!

  • Woah! you must be kidding! That will take ages...

    Thanks!

  • That key board has weight on it right? Like piano?

And how long you been playing piano?

  • Hi skiddyblade! Well, yes! it has weights. close to piano quality. This is Casio PX100. Oh~ how long hv I played? Since I was a lil' kid.

  • How long did you take to learn that piece? o.o I really want to try hehe...lol

  • 3-6mths i guess...its a couple of yrs ago oredy. On and off. Well yeah, u can start to learn too.

  • how long did it take u 2 learn that?

  • Thanks! well, its a long story haha. But I can tell u memorizing it is easy. Playing it well will take forever =D

Ok, I will post more in the future... recently I am really very bz at work. Patience needed haha ^.^

  • if its easy 2 memorize then i might try and learn

p.s i cant read music my mum shows me what the notes r and i remember by sight and ear

  • Then it may be a bit difficult but yeah sure u can try to learn it of course. Slowly...Its not easy to learn Etudes. But if you love it then you will not mind the time u take to learn it =)

  • WOW, amazing!!

  • this is INSANE, probably the best i've ever heard this played. respect.

  • Wow! Thank you so much! I feel so happy! =D

  • the only thing i noticed was a couple of times you let up a little on the right hand. but otherwise, sounds great, bravo and keep up the great work!

  • Thanks! ^.^ I will work on that. Hope the next time I post on this Rev Etude will sound better.

  • wow that was good i think i wouldnt play it better now

  • Thanks! =D Sure u can play better than me. Keep Playing well! like wat I'm tryin to do now. I will post more in the future.
