And after the turntable was removed, and the capacitor placed back in the oven, how long did it take for the capacitor to explode following restarting the oven?

I notice that until 1.13 the capacitor is shown on the glass turntable, rotating. Then there's a quick crossfade to the capacitor still cooking, but the turntable has been removed; the cooking continues for only a few seconds before the explosion.

How long had the capacitor actually been cooking on the turntable? Why was it removed--was it to get it out of there before it broke, or did it subsequently shatter and the shattering was edited out of the clip?

CoolDudeclem, when I first saw this it was one of the biggest capacitors I have ever seen though I am sure there is bigger ones out there. I guess they are a part of any high powered applaince. This was by far the most acidic microwaving I have ever done.
