It was a check and balance on democracy. IOW, if 51% of people supported legislation that violated the rights of the other 49%, it was considered unconstitutional and thus, null and void. @90talisten No he is not. IF you knew anything about Ron Paul, you would know he is for personal freedoms. First, he does not personally support prostitution, but he respects your right to do so if your so choose. Furthermore, he is not suggesting that he is going to legalize prostitution everywhere. He is were he always stands, he supports the rights of the states to choose to allow it or not. (like Nevada already does).

Their intention was to illegitimize Ron Paul and mislead the public into thinking his presidency would lead to more legal prostitution. However, his stance is preventing federal bans, and allowing states to decide. Most prostitute laws are enforced by states. Prostitution wouldn't be prevalent in any state outside of Nevada if Ron Paul was president, not much would change. The Bunny Ranch is just trying to prevent a federal ban that overrides Nevada law.

People forget prostitution is legal in 16 counties in NEVADA, it is also one of the Oldest professions in the world, it is better to have it regulated and LEGAL. Since if it is not regulated and illegal it will still happen (just like it happens in every city in the USA), and STD's get transmitted the illegal way...The government is just stupid and tries to push their values (which they don't have)on us, making our liberties disappear at the same time
