I was 12 when this movie came out and I am 40 now. I saw it for the first time On a rainy Saturday Matinee. First movie time was 2 pm and last was 10. we have to face it. the 80s wont come back! remember that synthy sounds where top notch back then. new york had a high crime rate. punk was subculture. graffitti as well. this movie might look dated today but it captured the 80s so well. oh and back then the cold war was still going on. apart from the 50s (with giant spiders/ants) no era dealed with the nuclear thread so well! watch terminator, blade runner and escape from new york and you get a really good feeling of the very moody 80s movies!
