So unless someone can explain how that wine went uphill against gravity and into his hair that wine was spilled there in the process of waterboarding Hendrix. You can't vomit out pure wine. I saw Jimi twice - the last time at Sick's in Seattle in '70. It rained like hell so we sat under plastic sheets and smoked until he came on. He got pissed 'cuz people kept shouting "Purple Haze"!

Dagger Records has this concert on CD. When Jimi arrived the crowd booed him because he showed up late. (he had a legit reason that escapes me for now) When the crowd booed his entrance Jimi responded "I don't give a fuck if you boo as long as you boo in key." By the end of the show the crowd was cheering.
1. Monika had several stories & eventually committed suicide. I believe she was told by mob goons, probably about 4 of them, who came in the apartment at gunpoint, not to ever tell the truth or she would be killed also. She must of felt very guilty. So goons came in and held Jimi on the bed and forced the pills down his throat and waited for awhile, maybe 3 or 4 hours, until he was good and lethargic with a slowed-down heart rate...
...From when they got back from the party about 5 ot 6 am to about 10 or 11 when the pills had taken affect. Then they dumped almost a whole gallon of wine down his throat. And maybe even punched him in the gut once to start him puking. This explains why there was no alcohol IN his blood, just all over him in the bed, including his hair.

I assent to (say yes to) BeenBad4U .... I don't know what to add else ... your thoughts are like mine ... the definitely it's not a suicide (you know, accidental or killed by)....
the only thing is Monika, I thought she was Danish .... but German could be good as well ... I know for sure she isn't Swiss (or Swedish).

Also from this article in the "Eastern Daily Press" UK, 4/6/96, it states: "from in a separate box entitled FACT FILE among other snippets it says: "It was in German-born Monika Danneman's flat that Jimi Hendrix choked on vomit and died, aged 27 and already a rock legend. The article was accompanied by a color picture of Monika leaving the High Court last week and a b/w of her in 1970 as she was driven away from Jimi's inquest and another b/w of Jimi in full swing..."

The correlation between Monika's death & her being found in 'Contempt Of Court' in the 26-yr-old Libel Suit w/Kathy Etchingham CANNOT be overlooked. But, Scorpions Guitarist Uli Roth was 'at her side' back then & defended her in the press posthumously.

Unfortunately, Jimi was surrounded by 'dark' individuals - after all, he WAS the highest-paid musician in the world - he was a 'magnet.' Mike Jeffries was believed to have Mafia ties. This 'makes sense' when you consider that Jimi built Electric Ladyland in the heart of 'Mafia Village' - Greenvich Villiage, 8th & McDougal, NYC - The LAST Thing they wanted was 'MORE ATTENTION' - from the highest-paid & most-prolific musician of the 20th Century 'moving into their neighborhood...'

I have NOT seen 'The Last 24 Hours' but I am told that it IS purely fictional w/NO proof. Did Jimi's life end that way? There IS a chance it did. Mike Jeffries was a VERY, VERY Greedy 'Cut-Throat' promoter, and he is now believed to have 'set-up' Jimi's kidnapping. He was well-known for 'getting Jimi's money' out of the country IMMEDIATELY & 'ripping-Jimi-off,' and he died in a plane crash in '73...

I have NEVER, in my 30+ yrs of being 'into Jimi' believed that he committed suicide. His late music just weeks/days before he died was STILL AWESOME - he was Extraordinary! The pix that Monika took of him that fateful morning in her back yard, w/his Strat, actually picking fruit off of her fruit trees, showed a man Full Of Life, a bit tired perhaps, but NOT someone wanting to die. His death was either "accidental" or somebody killed him (and we'll never know who), but it was NOT suicide...

Even in my 'open-mindedness' & 'trying to be fair' w/Monika...I truly never understood NOR accepted why she would just wait for HOURS ON END - Watching Jimi die - and NOT call for help immediately? I guess that @ his point I'll surmise that not only was she just a kid, but God-Awfully-Stupid, if not dealing w/mental issues as well...

Actually, being 'into Jimi' since '72, I also thought Monika "a wicked bitch!" But I researched her: She was only 22 - a Swedish ice-skating champ! She went on to DEDICATE HER LIFE to Jimi: Painting portraits of him just to survive. Her death was VERY mysterious...
"The Last 24Hrs" is just fiction - NO proof behind it.
Do a search on her & you'll find several dozen pix of Jimi in her back yard THE MORNING HE DIED - he looked great, w/his Strat, actually picking fruit off her trees!

Monika dedicated her life to Jimi by choice. It was a nice money-maker.I don't know if she was "wicked" but she was certainly a liar, changing her account of the night of Jimi's death virtually each time she told the story. She comitted suicide after losing a court case for libel (which proved she had lied about Jimi's death) against Hendrix's longterm girlfriend (if you can call 3 years 'longterm!)Kathy Etchingham.

As for Monika's death being "VERY mysterious", when viewed in the proper context of events, it's not mysterious atall. It's just another sign that she may have been mentally disturbed to some extent - something which friends of Jimi were claiming of her back in the 1970s'

Traffic didn't play there, but I don't know who it is. At the link up in the right top corner there is a list to the bands that played during the festival (follow 'Geschicte' from the link and go to the bottom for 1970). I can't figure out who it is from that list... maybe one of the German bands? Anyone knows?

Dagger Records has this concert on CD. When Jimi arrived the crowd booed him because he showed up late. (he had a legit reason that escapes me for now) When the crowd booed his entrance Jimi responded "I don't give a fuck if you boo as long as you boo in key." By the end of the show the crowd was cheering.

Jimi was murdered most likely.
1. Monika had several stories & eventually committed suicide. I believe she was told by mob goons, probably about 4 of them, who came in the apartment at gunpoint, not to ever tell the truth or she would be killed also. She must of felt very guilty. So goons came in and held Jimi on the bed and forced the pills down his throat and waited for awhile, maybe 3 or 4 hours, until he was good and lethargic with a slowed-down heart rate...

...From when they got back from the party about 5 ot 6 am to about 10 or 11 when the pills had taken affect. Then they dumped almost a whole gallon of wine down his throat. And maybe even punched him in the gut once to start him puking. This explains why there was no alcohol IN his blood, just all over him in the bed, including his hair.

sdaly, this was jimi's last live performance except for a jam with eric burdon and war ( of which a audio tape exists)two days prior on sept.16,1970. personally, i believe jimi was murdered with cooperation by the u.s government.

are you the billy cox or someone who happens to have the same name-thanks for the reply. i was only 3 years old when jimi died, but since i first heard doly dagger on the radio in 1982 or so -i was hooked.i don't understand even to this day why he can't get no love in his own hometown.there is so much to say and not enough space as my influence by jimi exists in the music i create(i play guitar-not that great but still working at it).thanks for replyin'. peace and happiness
